The Pope, the Bear and the Liberal
unknown-email | 9/11/06 | unknown-email

Posted on 09/11/2006 2:27:40 PM PDT by Kenton

The Pope took a couple of days off to visit the mountains of Alaska for some sightseeing. He was cruising along the campground in the Popemobile when there was a frantic commotion just at the edge of the woods.

A helpless Liberal, wearing sandals, shorts, a Save the Whales" hat, and a "To Hell with Bush" T-shirt, was screaming while struggling frantically, thrashing around trying to free himself from the grasp of a 10 foot grizzly.

As the Pope watched horrified, a group of Republican loggers came racing up. One quickly fired a 44 magnum into the bear's chest. The other two reached up and pulled the bleeding, semiconscious Liberal from the bear's grasp. Then using long clubs, the three loggers finished off the bear and two of them threw it onto the bed of their truck while the other tenderly placed the injured Liberal in the back seat.

As they prepared to leave, the Pope summoned them to come over. "I give you my blessing for your brave actions!" he told them. "I heard there was a bitter hatred between Republican loggers and Liberal Environmental activists but now I've seen with my own eyes that this is not true."

As the Pope drove off, one of the loggers asked his buddies "Who was that guy?" "It was the Pope," another replied. "He's in direct contact with heaven and has access to all wisdom."

"Well," the logger said, "he may have access to all wisdom but he sure doesn't know anything about bear hunting! By the way, is the bait holding up, or do we need to go back to Massachusetts and snatch another one?"

Sorry for the vanity post, but I just found this pretty funny. The air is getting crisp and cool here in Ohio, and my thoughts are on hunting season. So here's one for you hunters out there!

A long way to go...

Yeah, they could've just had one shipped up from Seattle or Vancouver, lots less for freight charges.

Why bother? They're all over up here. You can't swing a cat without hitting one of the "3B-O" bunch. (Backpacks, Birkenstocks, and body odor...)

Your timing could not have been worse. I just got off the phone with a realtor who confirmed that a piece of land I inherited (which was a perfectly nice property 'in the country' when it was purchased by a relative 40 years ago) cannot be easily sold because the environmentalist wacko commies have identified a 'wetland' on it. Horsefeathers.

BTW - I did enjoy your post. LOL

Good one .. but wouldn't California greenie liberals be cheaper to ship?

For that matter they could trap a bunch of Greenpeace freaks by having a whale carcass on land for them to try and push back into the water.

I plan to modify it a bit.

No need to go to Massachusetts when there are so many freakin liberals in California. (I think he must be from somewhere in the Mendocino area)

I'll give them a bus full (cheap!) from down in Girdwood!
