...three southern women, all either former Republicans or Republicans considering voting for Democratic candidates, were given air time to express their disenchantment with the GOP...I'm of the same opinion as Robert Novack, who today on C-Span opined that all these people whom he called "'but' Republicans" - that is those who phoned in saying they were once 'pubs but now are voting elsewhere - are now and always have been Democrats - looks like they got a bunch of them for this story too........

Well, I'm surrounded by southern women and I only know one who will vote Democrat and she's done that all her life.

GMA had a retraction on the story this morning. My wife recorded it for me, I'll check it out tonight. Did you see it?

Got to love Janna Herbison's observation of the friendliness of people riding the commuter train serving congressional districts of Suffolk and Nassau counties that are predominantly Republican, particularly the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th CD's and points east.
No doubt she sent that excerpt of her book to those C. Reps, too, including Peter King (R), for input. It's just that those memos aren't on the web. </sarcasm>

Did Congressman King also lose a family member in the '93 Long Island commuter shooting? That was why I sent it to Ms. McCarthy - JH
