The only parts of Dallas I've seen are the north side, the downtown area and the Fair Park area. The Fair Park neighborhoods looked a little seedy though.
I've never felt really unsafe in Dallas when I've been there.
In what parts of Dallas are the crimes occuring?

But we are about to get taxed again to pay for designer bridges!!! Won't that stop crime, well, at least those not getting 'the bite' for the contracting end of it??

The Dallas city council can't be worried about crime, they have bigger fish to fry such as If they arrested all the criminals, most of the people who vote for them would be in prison.

Illegal aliens in the drug trade...such a nice combination in Dallas. Just doing the crimes our criminals won't do.

I find this surprising. Of course, I live in the burbs, but ...
The burb I live in has attracted a huge mosque and people of every nationality. In 1963 there was no one within the city limits who wasn't white trash. I mean...
But I feel perfectly safe to walk my dog anywhere we can make it, even at night.

3. Los Angeles: one crime per 25.97 residents. I'm doing my part. Yip!
To: Dysart
(Safest rankings) 6. Philadelphia: one crime per 17.96 residents.BS. Philly has been underreporting for years, and at times even caught doing so.

I imagine Laura Miller and the Liberal Dallas City Council has passed Gun Restrictions for law abiding citizens.
These restrictions always lead to an increase in crime.
To: Dysart
That is for reported crimes
How about the ones nobody bothers to report out of frustration

Last I heard the Katrina people left Dallas when their mayor wouldn't continue with the hand outs. Only here in Houston do we have such a generous mayor. /s
