Prayers for Sgt. Dustin Decol and his family.
Rest In Peace Brave Soldier.
Efforts are being made at this time to have a virtual baby shower for the wife of SGT Dustin Decol. I have a contact thru the PGR who will drive the items to them and deliver them in person. If anyone wishes to participate, please send me a FReepmail. It would be so wonderful to overwhelm this family. SGT Decol did 2 tours in Iraq and had recently reenlisted from what I understand, when he found out about his cancer. He was a hero, and he gave so much for us in his short 21 years. Let's pitch in and give back a little, ok? Please?
I pinged everyone on any list I have to this post. I hope you all don't mind.
One more ping to the DC crew. Something we can do to help.
Sorry for falling behind in my work, Star. Pinging the DC Chapter to the "virtual baby shower" idea now...
BTTT
Thanks sweetie!! I know ya'll are EXTREMELY busy right now. *HUGS!*
God bless you.
Ping to a way to help -- a virtual baby shower...
NOT me -- I'm just trying to give back. He and THEY gave everything.
Dear Angel Dustin,
So sorry you had to go ...
Decol family, I weep with you.
May the good Lord hold you close ...
What's needed?
Ping to a hero's tragic end.
Any baby items. From what I understand, they have not had a chance to even think about setting up a nursey. All their time and energy has gone to caring for SGT Decol. At this time, my counterpart at PGR is looking into setting up a college trust fund for the baby. That info will be forthcoming as soon as I get it! :-)

Lest I keep my complacent ways
I must remind myself..
Someone out there died for me today
As long as there is war..
I ask and I must answer..
Was I WORTH dying for?

Thanks Star*!
and would have made a great father.
He WAS a great father -- he gave everything he had in his short life to ensure freedom for his daughter. God forbid the ignorant in this country squander such a gift.
I overlooked pinging you to this yesterday, Lyman. You may recall we talked about this fine young man.
