That picture outraged Christians here on FR.

Me personally, I am not offended. Just for the conversation, I think the Lord WAS Jewish. I also think his name was pronounced Yeshua and not Jesus. I also think that if a individuals picture of Yeshua is African, European, or Chinese that it would be fitting because I believe he came for all of us.

I am unsure as to why this would offend people. Can't wait to see the look on peoples faces when they get to Heaven and Yeshua really is Hebrew and not Northern European.

In any case, and back to the topic at hand, I must admit that you have some guts for standing up for the Commie ACLU. You have conviction in your belief. I do too. I have not been given reason to trust the ACLU.

If I hire a illegal worker to come to my house and clean it once a week, and a year later I find that my big expensive brass Eagle is missin. My favorite collection piece too. So, I scan my security tape and find my 'trusted' worker stealing my Eagle. I can not and will not ever trust that person again. All it takes is one time to ruin a person's trust.

My perspective is that the ACLU would take my gun, God, and Country. They are 0-3 and it just takes one. The Commies in the ACLU have a long way to go before they ever get my trust. In my eyes, it will take a lot of action to erase all the evil that they are doing and have done.

Sure, I understand that. It's not a matter of trust. Somtimes the thief is the only labor available. You use him but you keep your eyes wide open.

I can see that you're a real Christian. I have my doubts about those who are offended by a Hebrew Yeshua.
Peace!

Where I live I see the nativities everywhere I go every Christmas.

Maybe you should look beyond your little corner of this nation.

Try Google for starters, pal.

Thanks for proving my point!
A bunch of hits to the Christian right whining about Christmas haters. You guys want to ignore the fact that these lawsuits were generated by Americans United...a Christian organization! Stop blaming the ACLU and "secularists". You want to turn your sectarian squable into a culture war that is nothing but a pain in the arse to those of us who don't want to play your silly game.

Thanks for the complement but I fall short.

I don't like to turn the other cheek. I take the old Judge's stand, 'your crime is so great that you can not live in peace among us. There for, I will not judge you, but I will send you to a place to be judged'.

That is not necessarily a good Christians stance. I feel the same way about the ACLU. I sure won't judge them but I sure would like to send them to judgment.

Complete BS. The "Rev" Barry Lynn's presence does not make it a Christian organization. Barry Lynn was also a former ACLU officer. They frequently join the ACLU in lawsuits. The ban on nativity displays on city property was generated by the ACLU here in Pittsburgh - kind of ironic considering Christmas is a federal holiday.

Stop blaming the ACLU and "secularists".

No, we'll keep putting the blame where it belongs, with the ACLU. BTW, you've generated an admirable amount of text in support of these enemies domestic, but too many of us already know the truth about them.

Recommended reading is ACLU - The Devil's Advocate by F. LaGard Smith (professor of law at Pepperdine).

There is no court ban on nativity displays on city property.
The display was on the courthouse steps, but even then there was no problem with the display itself. The problem was the angel's sign on the courthouse steps. They could have taken the sign down or moved the display off of the courthouse steps. They chose to make a political statement on the courthouse steps. This was a staged event plain and simple.
THE SUPREME COURT'S DECISION: 492 U.S. 573

"When viewed in its overall context, the creche display violates the Establishment Clause. The creche angel's words endorse a patently Christian message: Glory to God for the birth of Jesus Christ.

Although the government may acknowledge Christmas as a cultural phenomenon, it may not observe it as a Christian holy day by suggesting that people praise God for the birth of Jesus...History cannot legitimate practices like the creche display that demonstrate the government's allegiance to a particular sect or creed."

Complete BS. The "Rev" Barry Lynn's presence does not make it a Christian organization.
Americans United was founded by protestant Christians in 1947. Although they are non denominational, the overwhelming majority are congregates of the United Church of Christ. The Reverend Barry Lynn has been the Executive Director of Americans United since 1992 and he is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ.

Lawsuits require a complaining party. The complaining party in these lawsuits are congregates of the United Church Of Christ.

Barry Lynn was also a former ACLU officer.
He was the legislative counsel for the Washington office of the ACLU from 1984 until 1991.
The founder of the ACLU was a Christian minister and Christians are the majority of the ACLU membership.

Interesting link.

It's head and shoulders above your efforts, sport.

Here's a nickel. Go buy yourself a clue.

ROFL!
Take a look at this thread...Captainpaintball, do the dhue, Fedora, Hacksaw, Sam Cree and syriacus gave me a great debate and made me work for every point.

Your contribution to the debate? A link to Google and several lame personal attacks.
Keep your nickel. You can save up for a pint of Ripple!

If you're living under the illusion that your opinion matters to me, then you are even more ridiculously ignorant than I originally presumed.

Good night, troll.

Bill O'Reilly is not a conservative. Try again...

O'Reilly is very a social conservative. He isn't a fiscal conservative though.

In any event, you're point is moot as O'Reilly is considered a conservative by all but the most informed conservatives.
