Poor Rosie – she just doesn't get it (The emperor has clothes!)

You would think that even Rosie O'Donnell could grasp that there is indeed a difference between "radical Christianity" and "radical Islam." No doubt conservative Christian evangelicals were who Rosie had in mind as "radical" Christians. Continues...

=================================================================

The emperor has clothes!

Fourteenth century Byzantine emperor Manuel II Paleologus: "Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." Islamists -- evil and inhuman. Seven centuries before Bush invaded Iraq. Boy, was that a mistake.

A prominent imam said on Fox News that these peace-loving Muslims have reacted the way they have to the Pope's lecture in Regensburg last week because they are "frustrated" with the "situation in Iraq, Afghanistan and Lebanon," and "this is their opportunity to voice their concerns and some anti-Western sentiment."

A couple of these frustrated little darlings on Sunday voiced their 'concern' by discharging anti-Western sentiment into the back of a nun four times. Sister Leonella was killed in Somalia by pistol-wielding Islamopeaceniks as she "left the Australian-run S.O.S. hospital at lunchtime after finishing nursing school for trainee medics" (AP, 9/18/06.) The jihad boys shot up her bodyguard, too. (In related news, president Lindsey Graham urged that the gunmen, if captured, be given POW status and be treated fairly. Wouldn't wanna put our troops at risk, she said.)

So, summing up the week's events in a way even libbies can understand, the Pope gives a speech in which he quotes a 14th century Byzantine Emperor saying things that the jihad crowd, which lives in the 7th century, construes as implying Muslims are violent, so Muslims get violent to show that violence is against their religion. Or, put another way, to prove the Pope wrong and to show that the prophet Mohammed was noble and peaceful, Muslims shoot a nun in the back. The compassionate side of Islam.

Muslim leader, Iranian president Amaneedajob, says Israel should get a glow-in-the-dark makeover, hordes of jihidiots complete black suicide belt classes in the madrassas, Muslim clerics are stuck on jihad, imams vow to snuff out descendants of 'pigs and monkeys' -- now where would that crazy idea that Muslims are violent come from? Any clues?

As of this writing, apart from the nun-hunting in Somalia, Muslims have been burning churches and terrorizing all week in protest of the Pope's comments that some Muslims are prone to burning churches and terrorizing. It's the worse eruption in Muslim mob violence since the last eruption in Muslim mob violence -- back in February, over cartoons in Denmark. The latest constitutes Violent Muslim Eruption #2,909,456,987. Nice religion of peace you've got going there.

After the rash of church burnings, rampages, murders and death threats against the Pope, the world expressed shock and horror. At the Pope's remarks. French president Jacques Chirac said the Pope should not be confusing Islam and radical Islam. Big difference between radical head-hackers and the mild-mannered chaps in the House of Saud financing the radical head-hackers. Spinach-for-brains added that we must "avoid everything that sparks tension" -- which means everything, except for death or conversion (effective in relieving Islamic tension, cramps, arthritis and backaches.)

The prime minister of Muslim Turkey, which Pope Benedict XVI plans to visit in November, condemned the Pope's words as "ugly, unfortunate statements" and a ruling party honcho said the Pope's in the same league as Mussolini and Hitler. Given that Hitler and Muslims were chums during WWII, it's hard to know if the ugly, unfortunate honcho meant it as criticism or a compliment.

In London, in a demonstration outside Westminster Cathedral, Muslim hot shot Anhem Choudary, miffed that the Pope implied Muslims are intolerant, said the Pope should "be subject to capital punishment" for even insinuating Muslims aren't tolerant. If you're an infidel, either remind yourself that we're running a religion of peace here OR WE'LL SLIT YOUR THROAT. Allah be praised.

In another dose of Muslim tolerance, 'Al Qaeda in Iraq' issued a statement calling the Pope a "cross-worshipper" and vowing total war until Islam, led by Osama the cross-dresser, conquers the world -- but, hold on, that can't be right since there's no al-Qaeda in Iraq.

Attaching their Islamic knee pads firmly and hitting the floor, the New York Times dished out tripe that sounded like something cribbed from your typical Islamocuckoo, winking at the Muslim reaction and buying into the Islamic pitch that the Pope should apologize for "controversial" remarks an emperor made 7 centuries ago. The paper noted that "the world listens carefully to the words of any pope. And it is tragic and dangerous when one sows pain, either deliberately or carelessly." The Pope's words were "tragic and dangerous" if your hang out is that hermetically sealed joint called the New York Times, which waved the white hanky to Sharia law back during the cartoon hoo-ha.

The Pope did give a 'deep and persuasive' apology Sunday -- for vastly overestimating the intelligence of the Islamodroolers who haven't read his speech and haven't figured out that their going bananas in response to the Pope quoting some long-dead emperor shows the Pope was on to something. If you're looking for irony in this, there's nothing more ironic than the nun-hunting, church-torching jihad boys turning this Pope into a Prophet.

If the Pope was trying to clue in the Islamists that there's a calmer, more rational approach to religion than kidnapping, shoe-bombing, head-hacking and crashing jets into lower Manhattan, the jihad fellas drove the Pope's larger point -- bombs-for-virgins scams and religion are incompatible -- home in spades. If the suicide bomb belt fits, you must convict.

Anyway, that's...
My Two Cents...

I think it's now fair to put John McCain in the Chirac camp, in the UN camp, and in with the lefties here who think George Bush has gone overboard, broken laws, to protect the country. And with Soros, Reid, Pelosi, and others who hate George Bush more than they love America.

With the brutal murder of this nun in Somalia, these enemies have to be willfully blind not to realize the terrorists aren't just at war with America, they are at war with the world.

There's no excusing John McCain. I have to hope this latest John McCain self-serving stunt has hurt him beyond repair for presidential consideration.

As for Rosie O'donnell, I happened to click into The View yesterday as Clay Aiken was being introduced, so of course I settled in to watch.

Rosie led in the interview and everything was all about Rosie. She asked about his new hair cut, by showing a picture of her disasterous hair cut from years ago. She asked about his nerves, by discussing the medication she takes. She asked about how fame has affected him, by giving an account of how she handled it. All about Rosie, I bet he said one word for every ten of hers, and the other View women didn't get to say anything at all.

Barbara Walters wasn't there, so I don't know if Rosie is allowed such self-indulgence normally. But yesterday it looked as if the needy Rosie has highjacked The View.

John, I enjoy and appreciate your poses and comments, but please don't put "Rosie O'Donnel" and "no clothes" in the same headline ever again.

From time to time, I have clicked through the TV channels and watched The View for a few moments. One show had Rosie monopolizing the conversation. BaBa Walters did not look pleased...and her body language suggested that Rosie shut the heck up.

TV is such a waste of time...I admit I can't help watching it a bit too much. The fact that many women watch The View every week day (no matter who is on) and take the shamelessly liberal views of the hostesses seriously is pathetic.

If they're 50 or under, it's a testament to the indoctrination they have received in what passes for America's "education system" (whether they only completed grade school or so-called "college-level" courses) in the past few decades!

Bet few home-schooled young adults waste their time with such mindless tripe (see dictionary.com's definition: tripe = Slang. something, esp. speech or writing, that is false or worthless; rubbish).
