Actually, YouTube only updates the viewed number in timed intervals. I just went there and it still says 322,927. You caught it just before it updated the view number for the last X hours.

Mac's have not experienced the problem that I know of. It was mostly on PC Windows OS. I just know a lot of people turn Java Scripts off on PC's because of virus and adware or spyware programs. In your case it sounds like a download versus streaming video difference. But then, I'm not an expert in this, just a user that has learned how to make it work here.
