LONDON, September 23 (IranMania) - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said rabbis are criticising the 'Zionist' regime more than the Islamic Republic of Iran, IRNA reported.
Speaking to reporters after his 10-day visit to Senegal, Cuba, Venezuela and the UN General Assembly in New York, the president said he held a lengthy meeting with Jewish clerics in the US.
"They expressed their concerns to us over the behaviour of the Zionists," he added.
The president also said that during the visit, he explained Iran's principled stand on a host of issues during meetings with various groups and in different forums. "The meeting with writers, intellectuals and media workers was one such event in which we expressed the stands of the Iranian nation in a dialogue with the participants."
The president also said that a meeting scheduled to be held in the University of Colombia was cancelled because security officials said the condition did not allow them to convene it. President Ahmadinejad added that in meetings with heads of state and governments on the sidelines of the General Assembly bilateral ties as well as regional and world issues were negotiated.

In Ahmadinejad's mind, he has to believe the story of the powerful "Joo" - the "Joo" who keeps all Arab and Persian cultures broken, poor, and humiliated. If Ahmadinejad were to look closely at reality, he would see that dictatorships all over the world are poor - and their citizens unhappy. When that's mixed with politically powerless women, 7th century ideas, a total lack of freedom, the results are the same: backward, ignorant, helpless, poor, angry countries. It's not the US, it's not the "joos" it's their choices.
The recipe for failure? An oppressive religion, thuggy men, powerless women and limited to nonexistent freedom. Ahmadinjad needs to get real...
