I know. There's two schools of thought. One is that a licensee has earned something (which he has). The other is that people shouldn't need a license. It applies to lots of stuff, not just radio, ham or otherwise. But you know all this :)

Miss Cleo Steps Out of the Closet

Miss Cleo, who rose to fame with her psychic infomercials a few years ago, has come out of the closet. In the new issue of The Advocate, Miss Cleo tells that she is a lesbian and that she now works as a "spiritual adviser" and performs weddings for gay and lesbian couples.

Art is giving some global warming gobbledygook. Do you think he believes this nonsense for real, or he's just yapping for the sake of controversy?

I sooooo wanted to drive my mom's car when I was 14. But no, driving is a privilege, not a right, and ya gotta have a license, and ya gotta be 16.

Yup, been there, done that.

Off to bed... g'night!

Well, so says the statute where you live, should you want one of the licenses they're offering.

Good night :)

Oh, and here's what he said:

"Many have had their say regarding the interview of Bill Clinton by Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday this morning. Suffice it to say that I'm still reeling from the performance--it is rare in this day and age of careful coaching by media handlers that you see someone of Mr. Clinton's age and experience lose their composure during a major interview. But lose it Mr. Clinton did, revealing to us the paranoid world of persecution by that legendary Vast Right Wing Conspiracy in which he--and we can assume his wife--live. And a bizarre world it appears to be."

riteon.

heh.. earlier in the preview section, "FOX News Sunday (FNS): Host Chris Wallace hosts Clinton (Bill), then he talks to a relevant guest, Senator Lindsey Graham."

Just listened mesmerized while Meacham of Newsweak discussed this on IMUS show.

His first comment was that anyone who doesn't think CHARACTER matters........he then goes on to discuss Klinton's flaws, etc etc.

The thing that got me that I didn't notice anyone commenting upon was that Klinton used the phrase.....Bush's NEO CONS.

So I guess Klinton using coded words for the JOOOSSSSSS is going to go unnoticed?

Drudge, having been sued once by a klintonoid, was going to be very careful in his comments.

Meacham from Newsweak was commenting this morning on how Klinton kept poking at Wallace's private parts.

I nearly fell over with that comment!

That's pretty bad. I wonder if stronger springs would help?

I wondered the same thing, but I'm pretty sure the lock mfg's have already put the max amount of tensile strength on those spring to insure smooth or consistent keying.

And if they DID make the springs tighter a harder tap would do the trick because it takes VERY LITTLE pressure on the "tap" to bounce the pins.

What just blows me away is that Lock-pick is essentially unchanged for hundreds of years, and them overnight, it's all suddenly obsolete. I already have one bump key for my house and it worked on the FIRST try, I just took my key in and asked him to reproduce it, he selected the right key and I just asked him to cut each position to max depth, -it was a guy at Ace Hardware and he did not even know what I wanted it for. Nor did I tell him.

I put the key into the lock put clockwise pressure on it and tapped it at the 10 o'clock position with the handle of a buck knife and that sucker popped on the first try.

I was able to open it on 8 of 10 subsequent tries, -amazing.

I assume this works on cars too, that's a pity for anyone that doesn't have a smart key or alarm.

Speaking of Fox News, two distressing notes from this morning's Sunday news talk show thread:

Fox News Vice President & Washington Bureau Chief Kim Hume (wife of Brit Hume) has resigned from Fox, & agreed to work till the November elections. From tomorrow, Gretchen Carlson will replace E.D. Hill on Fox & Friends. E.D. Hill will anchor Fox News Live from 10am to 12am. (old crew are angry).

Follow-up notes indicted that there is behind-the-scenes action, but the Hume's aren't talking. And F&F decision was made suddenly too as E.D. didn't have a chance to tell her fans.

Good grief, does anyone know what's going on over at Fox News? I will be VERY distressed if we lose Brit Hume... "Special Report" is bar none my favorite FNC show. I rarely miss it. I hope and pray a Brit Hume resignation isn't coming next.

Does anyone know what happened to Linda Vester, Bridget Quinn, and will Laurie Dhue return since I believe Geraldo's show has apparently bit the dust? (Questions I've been asked over and over by "FoxFans", and wonder about myself)

I run the FoxFan ping list, but I have no FNC "inside knowledge"...

BTW, I am posting this from a hotel... I won't be be back on FR (with access to my ping lists) until sometime this evening. Thanks in advance for any replies, and thanks for the ping, StarFan.

The main info came from Anita on the Sunday News thread. She followed up by saying that Brit and Kim are decent folks and won't talk in public about her resignation. A Fox producer quoted in a later article on the same thread said he wanted to make clear it was her decision and hers alone to resign.

Linda Vester had a baby and has decided not to return to Fox News Channel.
