Chris Wallace never knew hit him. There he was, doing what his father Mike has done for years on "60 Minutes:" Asking a famous person the most obvious of questions. "Mr. President, did you do enough to stop Osama bin Laden?" and suddenly Vesuvius was erupting.
Clinton's big meaty paw pounded Fox News reporter's leg. Clinton's big meaty face pressed ever closer, seemingly straining to escape its moorings. Clinton's red-meat attacks were laced with insults at Wallace's employer ("you did FOX's bidding on this show"), his politics ("You did you nice little conservative hit job on me") and Wallace himself ("you've got that little smirk on your face. It looks like you're so clever.")
Chris Wallace survived the only way he could. He played dead. No more probing questions, no references to terrorism in the 1990s. Eventually the former president grew bored and abandoned Wallace's lifeless professional career in the Fox studios. The storm that is former president William Jefferson Clinton had passed.

liar, liar pants on fire.
somebody put out the lit cigar that's down your pants.
I only wish that Wallace had asked a follow-up question regarding Clintoon's finger wagging. Something like 'Sir we've seen that finger-wagging before. Are we to take this response the same way as your 'I did not have sex with that woman, Miss Lewinsky?' denial?' Clinton would have really lost it then!
I think he was 1) stunned and 2) getting out of the way so Clinton could derail himself.
If Wallace asked your question. I would pay to see Clinton go off on him. LOL!
Having thought about it, Wallace did the right thing. If he fought back, it would look like Clinton was only fighting fire with fire. Instead, Wallace looks like he's just sitting there, while Clinton looses it.
He reacted like a dog backed into a corner. He growled to get the other guy to back off.
Hey, we all know he's a natural born liar, but watch for the body language. He does it every time the truth backs him into a corner.
Clinton. What horrible judgment we Americans had putting him in the White House. I didn't vote for him, but Millions of Americans did. I'll never forget that the first thing the man did was sing some sort of partial birth abotion law into effect. Clinton will go in the books as one of the worst ever.
"Until this moment, Mr. President, I think I never gauged your violence or recklessness...." I have to ask did you, in fact, rape Juanita Broderick?
He did the same thing with the British interviewer -- the name escapes me at the moment -- last year.
Dick Morris says that, with Clinton, the bigger the lie, the the bigger the anger. Hooooooo BOY!
Exactly. Wallace was obviously stunned and did the best he could under the circumstances. . You simply don't expect a former President to act that way.
Also, I'm not sure how physically large Wallace is, but Clinton is a BIG guy, and I have no doubt he knows how to make his presence intimidating.
one can imagine the same countenance being confrontational at the re-education camp; making accusations, being intimidative and suggesting future action to be taken against "crimes against the revolution." (imagine a leftist, democrat, arrogant, capricious, arbitrary government holding sway over every aspect of life in the U.S.-too disgusting to contemplate) democrat=hyena
I think it needs to be pointed out, again and again:
If FoxNews is the 'conservative' news outlet, what are all the rest?
WOOT! That pithy comment would have launched the Bully in Billy; WJC would have reverted to type and punched the smaller, older fellow in front of him.
The Hoff could handle him, though.
The Hoff can handle ANYTHING.
Except Chuck Norris.
Except Chuck Norris.
What if they teamed up against Jack Bauer? Oh, the humanity!
My head almost exploded from the visual I got from that!
I know! It's almost unthinkable!
Clinton's antics remind me of a fat band sissy in an effeminate snit. He should try it on some "good ol' boy."
JWR writers always get it.... the point rings loud and clear. Clintoon slides down the slope of honesty before America one more time.... this should be the exclamation point on his legacy!
LOL. Precisely!! I have always thought of him as an effeminate sissy.
Actually, the first thing Clinton did was fire all the US District Attorneys so he could load the prosecutorial positions with his own hand-picked people, thus assuring him protection for the 8 years of crimes to come.
Sir. You win the best idea of the month.
In the Wallace scenario, I'd imagine if Wallace were sitting in a wheeled chair, he'd have been dug in his heels and been pushing back from Clinton's, aggressive posture. I would have.
............I did not have sex with that man
"Therefore, the American people have wisely established a custom against allowing any man to hold that office for more than two consecutive terms. But every shred of power which a President exercises while in office vanishes absolutely when he has once left office. An ex-President stands precisely in the position of any other private citizen, and has not one particle more power to secure a nomination or election than if he had never held office at all, indeed, he probably has less because of the very fact that he has held the office." - Theodore Roosevelt
THE ABOVE MASS MURDER OF THOUSANDS OF INNOCENT AMERICANS WAS THE INHERITANCE OF 8 YEARS UNDER THE CLINTOONS.
