Bill Clinton's 60th party to last 3 days

NEW YORK, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Tickets to former U.S. President Bill Clinton's belated 60th birthday party in New York start at $60,000, a private Rolling Stones concert included.

While Clinton's birthday was Aug. 19, organizers delayed the fundraising event until late October to avoid complaints from Democrats the money raised for Clinton's charitable foundation would be lost to campaign contributions for November's mid-term elections.

Some 2,100 invitations have been sent for the event, which will run from Oct. 27 to Oct. 29, the Washington Post reported Thursday.

Clinton's daughter, Chelsea, will host a Saturday brunch featuring a golf tournament at the Bayonne (N.J.) Golf Club, multiple receptions and a dinner at the American Museum of Natural History with Clinton and his wife, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y.

The Rolling Stones will perform at the 3,000-seat Beacon Theater, and the invitation says the concert will be taped for an upcoming Martin Scorsese movie about the band.

Let's see, Bubba makes himself relevant again by going ballistic on FOX and generating a lot of hoopla from the Moonbat. Then a few days later the $60,000 a ticket B'Day celebration announcement comes out. Hmmm

[ He's a fun guy and that's all that counts in a lot of people's minds. ]

Could be Vince Foster stopped thinking Clinton was a fun guy exactly ONE DAY before he was murdered.. Chinagate must have been "IT" for Vinny..

You have to admit; Bill Clinton is a fun guy, and that's why so many like him---

I'm sure there are lot of women that would agree with you (smirk)

What a drag it is getting old....

I met a gin-soaked barroom queen in Memphis.....

'Cause I try, and I try, and I try, and I try,
I can't get no, I can't get no ... Satisfaction....

Pleased to meet you, hope you guess my name.
But what's puzzlin' you is the nature of my game.....

But it's alright, Jumpin' Jack Flash is a gas, gas, gas.

Suggested playlist:

I started out as "Mother's Little Helper".
She taught me to play those "Tumbling Dice".
That's when I got hooked on "Honky Tonk Women".
Then, to get into politics, I tried to become "Respectable" so I married the "Bitch".
But since she had a "Heart of Stone",
I had to become the "Midnight Rambler".
It really put me between a "Rock and a Hard Place".
But, hey, I was the AG then Guv of AR. I was "Hot Stuff".
I told Juanita, "Let's Spend the Night Together" We had to keep that "Undercover of the Night".
But even "Wild Horses" couldn't keep me out of the White House.
I fooled enough voters to "Gimme Shelter" there for eight years. (Even though I really wanted to "Paint It Black").
Most were stupid enough to think I was their "Beast of Burden".
I attended enough funerals that "As Tears Go By", right-wingers were saying it takes a "Fool To Cry".
Hell, I even got a silly little philly who was "Blinded by Love" to "Start Me Up" but she had to stay where you "Can't Be Seen".
But then them damn Republicans got together to "Break the Spell".
I no longer had everyone "Under My Thumb".
I got some "Emotional Rescue" from Jesse.
Luckily, I convinced myself and the Senate that since only a couple of years remained in my term, "Time Is On My Side".
Whew, that was close.
I finished the terms and figured I'd do the "Harlem Shuffle".
Everything was gonna be cool until UBL finished the '93 job on 9/11/01.
But then, "You Can't Always Get What You Want".
"W" had to mess things up more by proving he was the REAL "Street Fightin' Man".
I stayed (sorta) in the the background 'cause I know "When the Whip Comes Down" you don't want to "Play With Fire".
Five years later I get interviewed by a "Monkey Man". I respond with "Lies", but I know deep down that my legacy is "Shattered" and "Slipping Away".
I still can't get get no "Satifaction" so please have "Sympathy for the Devil".
Oh, what the hey, I think I'll go back to Harlem and get me some "Brown Sugar".

I just wish he was 2,000 light years from home.
But I guess you can't always get what you want.

Just for some information, if you buy a Stones album, buy this one.

Don't know if it is on CD, but I have an old vinyl LP copy. I don't think Mick and Keith get a dime from each sale, but it does have thier best songs from 64-71.

Usually I would be for a band breaking away from their manager and record company, but this concert for Clinton tees me off.
