The Washington-based Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM)...This is a PETA front group. Pure BS.
Several years ago I heard a radio talk show host describe in detail a number of groups like this. He had researched where they were housed (often same address as the usual suspects), members on their boards (usual suspects again), etc. Some of his findings were quite funny, e.g. one "doctors for the blah blah" group had no medical doctors on staff or the board, another was a one-man operation out of a mailbox address but had a title like "International Association of Medical Researchers" or similar misleading name. I wish I could remember the show or the host, but I don't.

You all miss the point:
"Grilled chicken can cause cancer, and consumers deserve to know that this supposedly healthy product is actually just as bad for them as high-fat fried chicken,"
That means the heat is off. No more guilt for me. Tonight it is greasy fried chicken. Plates of it. No more skinless boneless cold chicken on beds of arugula and low fat dressing. NOPE. It is greasy fried chicken, cottage fries, and beer (just for the anti-oxidents).

Let me guess, it was a carcinogen because you had a one in 3 million chance of getting cancer instead of a one in 6 million chance.
Screw them, ever eat pork? Filthy, worm ridden rotten meat.
I'll stick with chicken.

All you need to know about the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine from
Activist Cash.com. In short, most members aren't physicians, their science is junk, and they are out to push veganism through any means necessary. The AMA has called PCRM a "fringe organization" that uses "unethical tactics" and is "interested in perverting medical science."
Of course, this won't stop your local newscasts from giving these junk scientists free publicity on tomorrow's newscasts without exposing their true agenda, though.

We've got a great place in St. Louis called Hodak's, revered for its fried chicken. I guess I can eat to my heart's content, knowing that I'm following PETA's recommendation.
After all, they're just concerned about me as a human being, right?

When you hold a marshmallow in the campfire until it bursts into flame-is it also full of carcinogens?
I think the best tasting smores are made with those burnt marshmallows.

How much grilled meat do you have to eat to get cancer?

Aside from McDonald's and Burger King, the chains named in the lawsuit were Chick-fil-A, Chili's, Applebee's, Outback Steakhouse and TGI Friday's.

What is interesting is that according to the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) - Summaries & Evaluations, their Overall evaluation on PhIP last updated 08/21/1997 and found
here states:
PhIP (2-Amino-1-methyl-6-phenylimidazo[4,5-b]pyridine) is possibly carcinogenic to humans (Group 2B).
But possibly carcinogenic to humans is not defined as a classification according to the description of their evaluation found here

How much grilled meat do you have to eat to get cancer?I don't know, but testing is underway!
So far the tests have been inconclusive. I'm going to be looking to secure additional grant money to get more long-term sampling underway!

A few weeks ago, it was "cured meats" causing "reduced lung function." I said then that I wondered if they still equate eating a grilled steak to smoking so many packs of cigarettes like they once did.
Guess they still do!

I believe a study was done on this subject when the report first came out. I believe a human would have to consume something like 87 pounds of chicken a day for 20 years to be affected in the way that the test were done on the lab rats.
