The question of whether Rep. John Murtha is a crook or not is now definitive. Congressman John Murtha’s full 54-minute ABSCAM meeting is out.
An article in today’s American Spectator, based on the 54-minute video and scores of sworn testimony given by Murtha under oath, reveals a congressman anxious to cut a deal on his terms. The article includes a link to the full 54-minute video online. Here
Everyone would expect a congressman who had a near-fatal brush with the ABSCAM scandal to steer as far away from further controversy and ethical questions as possible. This has not been the case with Rep. John Murtha.
The most glaring question involves Murtha’s brother “Kit”… whose lobbying firm was the recipient of $20.8 million in fees for influencing Defense contracts in 2004. Murtha was and remains the ranking member of the Defense Appropriations subcommittee. LINK to story
Watchdog organization CREW has published its “Most Crooked Congressional Members” report, naming Murtha as a dubious member of the group. LINK to CREW report
There are many other incidents where Murtha’s actions are more than questionable; however, the real question remains whether PA’s District 12 voters will re-elect their crooked congressman.

Murtha is the dirtiest Congressman there is. And being that is amoung Congress, that is saying something.
Someone get a copy before it disappears! lol Looks like Murtha has received his October surprise a little early. Someone should make a "Murtha's Shady Ways" ad and feature clips of this and details.

YAY, COOP! This is great and gives me motivation to donate to "Boot Murtha". I'd been torn about that because I figured whatever I had to give should go directly to Irey. But clearly I have to dig a little deeper.

I believe it was Mark Twain who once noted that "One useless man is a disgrace, two are called a Law Firm and three or more become a Congress>"
That's true, his CD needs to hear about it and I am sure some local station will talk about it.
In the broader context, nationwide I hope more hear about it as this is the dim way of doing things.
I'm pretty sure John Adams said that line about Congress. It was during the debate over independence.
