The Talk Shows
Sunday, October 1st, 2006
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Rep. Jane Harman, D-Calif.; former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf; Sen. Mike DeWine, R-Ohio, and his Democratic opponent, Rep. Sherrod Brown.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Presidential counselor Dan Bartlett; Sen. Joseph Biden, D-Del.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Bartlett; Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa.; poet laureate Donald Hall.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Bartlett; U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Zalmay Khalilzad; Sens. Richard Lugar, R-Ind., and Christopher Dodd, D-Conn.; former national security adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
I read somewhere that Newt and Harmon are going to discuss the Clinton eruption on last week's show and that FOX has prepared a "reality check" on the Toon's rant.
Ha. Is Clinton stupid enough to attack Fox again for their "facts"? I suspect so.
On the road so I can't watch. But here's a BUMP!!
That should be scintillating.
Just because I like it....It's funny!
And the creator, FReeper NautiNurse, didn't get enough credit for it.
If the finger's flyin', he must be lyin'!!!!
No Woodward on any of the shows? Quell surprise...he could have sold a few more of his novels. But why the poet laureate?
Coming up now:

Ms. Greenberg is the Vice President of Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research and Mr. Luntz is the president of Luntz Maslansky Strategic Research.
Good Morning, all! Freeping from work on laptop! Im glad Im going to miss Jane-lets -declassify-everything-to find-ways-to-bash-Bush-Harman. Id be interested to read freeper comments on Murtha's appearance..
The shrill dems are out this morning. Thanks for the thread AB.
Morning, lp. I've already heard callers who believe the President controls gas prices and wants to take over Cuba. Very few sane people call C-Span any longer.
Thanks for the thread.
As for the shows... Murtha but NOT Diana Irey. That sucks.
Gee.... what a surprise!
Libs and dems are characterizing the Clinton meltdown as a victory, furthering the leftist notion that there is honor in dishonor..
Could be a good hour. Two pollsters attacking early.
Good morning AB!
Wow, Luntz and Greenberg in a slug fest.
Morning Bahabh. Im getting concerned for Talent and passage of the stem cell initiative..

George Soros , Open Society Institute
Ted Halstead , New America Foundation
She's kinda purdy. On the wrong team, but purdy.
The disinformation on the stem cell issue has been incredible and the response has not been forceful or well funded. I too am concerned. As for Talent, I feel fairly confident.
Good Morning! I predict that every democrat on every show will bring up Mark Foley and try to imply that there was some 'cover up' at the highest levels of the GOP...(rolling eyes). This is the new 'talking point' of the Dems and the media. I woke up this morning to CNN obfuscating the facts surrounding the scandal and dutifully misleading the American people. Then I switched to Fox and they had the facts all wrong as well.
Disgusted, I got out of bed to make coffee and here I am...lol. Hang on folks...the ride is going to be bumpy and infuriating!
Looking forward to the nine o'clock hour. "Jane's employs only the best.
While there is no official sanction, UMSL is firmly in favor of the initiative-you should see all the signs oon campus..
Maybe Larry King has the 'exclusive first' --- he's his guest on Monday night, NOT that I will watch.
Surprisingly, neither pollster is aware of the ABSCAM tapes of Murtha which I watched yesterday and which show Murtha to be, among other things, an arrogant, disgusting and greedy human being.
I can't stand LKL....all his guests know that he will ask only softball questions, so that's the reason for his so-called success in getting the names in the news on his program. We need to post his police pic every time his name comes up here.
Excellent point. I think therein lies the reason, or some of the reason why Clinton flew into such a rage. There are a whole host of questions, that if asked, will pull the rug out from under the horrible house of cards that is the so-called Clinton legacy. Deep in his core, Clinton knows this. Blowing up at Chris Wallace was his attempt to keep the heat off.
"SLIMY AFFAIR" . . . That is a perfect description of the "Sandy Berger Affair", and the biggest question that has never been seriously asked by anyone in a position to do anything about it is WHY did he do it? So many of the corrupt politicians on both sides of the aisle are too absorbed in trying to cover each others' personal political tails to care much about the truth. Democrat Presidents become their sacred cows, and Clinton is no exception. They are determined that the Republicans will not be allowed to make Clinton what the Democrats made Nixon in history. (In truth, Nixon was a choir boy compared to Clinton.) Of course, with Republicans that's easy. Sparing each other "embarrassment" is the hallmark of the Republican gentlemen in the Senate particularly. Does anyone seriously think for a second that the Democrats would not have rode a Republican President out on a rail and tarred and feathered him for much less? Ironically, a young Hillary Clinton was the biggest (though less powerful at that time) rabble rouser of the entire bunch against Nixon.
No wonder terrorist leaders look at us and laugh, thinking we are all like the corrupt leaders of this country.
Actually, he's butt rude and always snarky to guests on our side of the political spectrum and most recently to Dr. Laura.
I'd love to see his police pic...lol. I'll go search and try to find it. :)
Anna Greenberg is a walking DNC talking point memo. America is responsible for the problems at the UN. She thinks we want international institutions to run the world because "this administration" has done such a terrible job. Luntz gets her to correct herself.
I agree. His desperate, embarrasing, lack of control on the Fox interview is indicative of his vanity and self obsession. Clinton, like Biden seeks the spotlight. Normally he is portrayed in a fairly decent light, largely because he appears mostly overseas. When someone finally questions his competence, he lost it. It didnt fit the fawning template..
Anna Greenberg (D polster) is looking cross-eyed in the face of his Truth.
I've never heard of her. Are you watching c-span?
Yes, I am watching C-Span.
ll;30 am EST, Andrew Card will be interviewed on MSNBC.
Greenburg's voice sounds like she's breathing helium.
Related to Stan Greenberg, Clinton's pollster?
Because he's a slob with an understandably sloppy desk!
Perfect example of the MSM's culpability in covering up for Dems. IN this case, they said "Oh well, that explains it!". If it had been a Republican, the chase would have been on to determine how the NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISOR's sloppy habits endangered national security in a time of war.
Thanks, YaYa. Will Card confirm or deny the ficticious dialogue created by Bob Woodward. LOL. They were reading some of his "quotes" on C-Span this morning. He is just making this stuff up, as they say.
What did he say?
LOL -- as a matter of fact, you're right!
