No I did not check out the link. I do have a passing interest in this story but I just found it hilarious that second hand smoke has now risen to this level. That personal revelation MUST have been tongue in cheek! I can't get over it, sorry.

As far as the whole Foley affair, it is absolutely exploding now as we type with the so called victim's id now known (currently working for Rep. Istook's campaign). Seems he wasn't underage at all and as one Freeper cunningly pointed out, he and Foley could possibly have gotten married at the time of the IM's in the state of Massachusetts!

But to the HLI article, I am in agreement with the author.

I have read, and believe, that victims of molestation tend to become defenders or victimizers of children. In Foley's case he seems to be both. Not that surprising. As another poster noted, how appropriate that he will be judged in light of the laws he helped pass.

With that said, I thought it was a really cheap shot to toss off that throwaway line about being victimized by clergy. It doesn't have anything to do with anything that's happening now. He ought to stick a sock in it.
