Abortion was BEFORE baby boomers were old enough to vote? 1974??? Are you kidding?! Welfare - How about the Great Society? SSI - They added alcoholics and heroin addicts to the roles and brought about the campaign for 'universal healthcare' under SSA/Medicare. I could write a thesis paper on just the issues you mentioned and the exponential damaged caused by boomers.

I make a living off baby boomers. I've studied them. I've researched them. I've adapted to them. I've reviewed research done by other far wealthier companies about them. I know what they want, what they fear, what they celebrate and what the do and do not take credit for as a generality. I'm sorry if this is all appearing to making a sacred cow burger out of your view of boomers. And I admit that no discussion of boomers can be absolute regarding every single one of them. But I will confidently describe the majority of boomers.

To say that I know little basically tells me that this isn't an argument. I have respect for my elders and I do not seek to embarrass them publicly unless they are liberal hypocrites and deserve it. I have absolutely no reason to believe you are a liberal so I will make no public effort to defame or discredit you. By way of your profile, I would actually guess that you and I would be in agreement on 90% of issues facing the public. And I have enormous respect for what you have done considering that my wife and son were 1.3 miles from the Pentagon on 9/11.

But it doesn't sound like the numbers will change your mind on this so my efforts will be wasted. I'm just going to unilaterally volunteer to withdraw from this discussion and thank you for your past service to NY and the country.

Thank Democrap Lyndon Johnson for ruining Social Security 30 years after it's ill conception.

It was actually Richard Nixon who did the most damage by increasing benefits and indexing payments to cost inflation in 1972.

"Abortion was BEFORE baby boomers were old enough to vote? 1974??"

IIRC, Roe v Wade was a Court decision, nobody voted for it. Name the boomer justices. Name the boomer legislators who approved their appointment to the bench. The very first boomers who were able to vote did so in the 1968 elections and then since the voting age was 21 only those boomers born in '46 through October '47 were eligible to do so. Most weren't even in HS yet.

================================================

" How about the Great Society?"

How about it? LBJ's baby, wasn't it? The average boomer was ten years old.

=========================================

SSI? A boomer deal? Wow. FDR was a boomer?
