UPDATE**************
Al Qaeda Leader 'Killed'
Updated: 09:02, Thursday October 05, 2006
The new leader of terror group al Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Ayyub al Masri, has been killed.
Masri, also known as Abu Hamza al Muhajir, took control of the group on the death of Abu Musab al Zarqawi.
Like his predecessor, Masri was killed by US forces, the Iraqi government announced.
Iraqi security forces had said earlier this week that they believed they were closing in on Masri.
He became a key target after succeeding Zarqawi, who had become one of the world's most wanted men after claiming responsibility for a series of terrorist attacks in Iraq.
As well as organising a string of suicide bombings which killed hundreds of civilians, he is thought to have personally beheaded several Western hostages, including Briton Ken Bigley.
Zarqawi was killed by US troops in June.
Masri, an Egyptian, then took command of the group, which is linked to Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda organisation....."

Not misheard at all. Here's the story:
3, maybe 4 years ago, someone posted a newswire story about an Egyptian dude who got busted on a flight to Syria (or maybe Jordan, I forget) while carrying a couple of kilos of dried lizard powder, which is apparently prized in the Middle East as an aphrodisiac.
Some genius FReeper -- and this was one of the first posts in the thread -- rewrote the chorus of 'Cry Me A River' (which of course has been a longstanding FR sarcasm), titled 'Dry Me A Lizard'.
The last line was, naturally:
''I dried a lizard over you''.
MAN, I wish I still had that post! LMAO right now, too.
