In the real world, people WANT sewers. Only bizzare celebs would prefer a septic system on land next to a major body of water.

Of course, some of them may just have a long pipe running from their toilets to the ocean.

Their celebrity feces doesn't stink and actually cleans the ocean.

Most of Malibu would qualify as high density. Sewage lines and treatment plants have GOT to be less environmentally taxing than thousands of septic tanks and leach fields.

Even if this only applies to the "Colony" itself, it's poor practice considering the alternative.
