How is Tom DeLay Reynold's fault?

I'll admit that the whole Ronnie Earle saga was a witch hunt. Although Arbamnoff was another matter. Notice, since Delay moved to Va, there is no news from Earle.

Delay retired after the primaries were done. If he was going to retire in the 1st place, then he should have not run at all and let the RAT donors waste their money on Nick Lampson. Instead, we are unable to find a replace candidate on the ballot. We are stuck with a write-in candidate with a complicated name, Shelley Sekula-Gibbs. Reynolds could have encouraged Delay along with Ney and Sherwood to retire and let another up and coming conservatives to take their places.

And don't forget, Reynolds persuaded Mark Foley to run again. And that appalling press conference he held a couple of days ago.

Having Reynolds lose and bringing in Negron is a great start for GOP House cleaning.

Yes, it would. And there needs to be some House-cleaning. While I salute Dennis Hastert's past achievements, he should step down as Speaker after the election.

Reynolds should have tried to get Tom DeLay to retire. If he had, maybe the GOP wouldn't be in the mess it's in right now in TX District 22.

If the election turns bad for the GOP, not only will Hasstert be gone, but Boehner will go as well. And quite frankly, I don't think Blunt will move into a higher leadership position either.

Bill Paxon was Reynolds's predecessor. Any chance we can get him back again ? :-/

"Bill Paxon was Reynolds's predecessor. Any chance we can get him back again ? :-/"

Or maybe Jack Kemp, who was Paxon's predecessor.

Paxon and his wife, Susan Molinari, now live in Virginia, BTW.

I think Reynolds better head back to his very Republican district and make sure that he gets reelected. I don't think he's "helping" much regarding the Foley scandal nor the many competitive House races across the nation.

Bring back Tom Davis. He is the Karl Rove of Congress. Also, if returned to this position, maybe he won't run for the U.S. Senate when John Warner retires.

Survey USA is a FAKE Polling firm.

Reynolds is up 15 points in REAL local polling in New York.

Agreed, the presser was stupidly executed and he looked horrible. That said, Reynolds has been an outstanding NRCC chair and we need to carry him over the finish line.

Down by only five at this point means he will win.

The fact that it's a partisan firm means it should be taken with a grain of salt.
