Pelosi Says She Would Drain GOP 'Swamp'

"We must share the benefits of our wealth" beyond the privileged few." - Nancy Pelosi, discussing plans for the first 100 hours of democrat control of the House of Representatives in November 2006.

Pelosi's admission of agreement with communist doctrine, should come as no surprise, other than its transparancy in this particular statement from her office. Clearly the democrats are celebrating recent headlines and have become brazen in openly admitting their intentions.

The media's failure to widely report the admission or its significance, i.e., the highest ranking democrat in the house of representatives openly subcribes to communist ideology and intends to ram it down the throats of Americans upon acceding to power, in favor of continued reporting on what purient remarks the former Florida congressman may or may not have transmitted in e-mails three years ago, is another affirmation of their fellow traveller status.

Well, if Pelosi becomes speaker, Bush can become a born-again believer in limited government.

So will the rest of the Republicans.

If we survive, that is.

If there is pain, there is no gain. The status quo has failed conservatives. And, the Republicans need to get the message that they have ONE choice if they want to remain a majority party -- follow the principles of Ronald Reagan.

Bush: Regime change in Iraq/Iran

Kerry: Regime change in the US

With the Democrats policy of soaking the rich alongside their policy of cutting and running, they are like a combination of Karl Marx and the Wizard of Oz's Cowardly Lion.

Just what we need to run our government in these perilous times /sarc

The error of Marx Pelosi et al, is the divorce of the two economic concepts of production and consumption, as if the two were unrelated.

Pretending as if free people will voluntarily choose to work very hard if their economic needs are guaranteed to be met, and they gain no advantage from that work, is ludicrous.

It doesn't take much of an economist to project that the net effect of Marx-Pelosism is an economic crash, or much of a political scientist to understand that tyranny is the only way that the communist-liberal state can maintain enough production to sustain itself.

Drain the swamp? What an odd phrase, for a left coast eco-wacko to use. Why would Nancy want to destroy her precious ecosystem, without which her own highly specialized species would be displaced, or even perish?

OK. One of the big complaints of the democrats are that the republicans would write bills and push them through so quickly that nobody had a chance to review them.

In particular, they complained about the republicans waiving the rules about a 72-hour time period to review legislation before it comes up for a vote.

So, how is it possible that the democrats will accomplish ANYTHING in the first 100 hours of the new administration? Sure sounds like trying to ram stuff through without debate.

Also, the media should ask her how, in her first 100 hour push, she will ensure that her bills have garnered 60 votes in the Senate.....

Well thank you Ms.Pelosi. I am a republican, so I guess you believe, metaphorically speaking, I live in the swamp. You say you want to destroy my home. You want to give me and my family San Francisco values, NAMBLA values, socialist values, and you want to take what I have worked for, for my family, above the taxes I already pay, and redistribute them to San Franciso types. You are the leader of the dems,...they elected you...so I conclude that you speak for them too. You have besmirched millions and millions of good, decent, family men and women who want a moral society, (that is why the homosexual congressman who it has never been reported that he had sex with a minor is now gone..purged from the Republican party. The Clintons, the Barney Franks, are the foundation of your party and your loyalties.

So you have drawn the line in the sand. I don't believe decent people will be fooled by you or your ABC accomplices. We all can see what is happening,...what you are puttting the country through, and we don't like it. When the truth is finally fleshed out for all to see, I have no doubt that the democrat party will be the origination of most of this. I am a republican, and I do not approve of homosexuality, but you are beneath contempt in that you have taken another human being, though a homosexual, and are trying to gain power by carving up this person. I find that despicable. Mr.Foley has made a shamble of his life. When he knew it would be made public, he quit and ran for the hills. It is said that he wanted to spare his elderly mother and father this indignation. You would have none of that. You, Ms. Pelosi, are a destroyer of lives and perhaps a nation if you get your hands on the lever of power. I understand your seeking power. I do not understand your willing to destroy so many lives in order to obtain power. It reveals much about the character of your person, and it is an ugly picture of self-absorption, avarice, power mad operator who would stop at nothing, including ruining as many lives as necessary. And not just lives, but lives of those you call colleague to further your end. You are exactly the kind of leader this country does not need. You are rudderless and completely undone.

Doc, you know I am often to quick to criticize others. I see most of the world in black and white, right and wrong. I see Mr. Foleys actions as deplorable, but I have never, before this, known of him to flaunt his lifestyle. I should hope he would turn away from such behavior, but he is a grown man. His choices have consequences, as do all of ours. He has been living a lie for the most part, and that must be the recipe for unhappiness. But he, it is said, has parents in their 80s', who have only a short time left, and they are having to deal with this tragic circumstance. We, the public, have taken our pound of flesh from Mr.Foley,...I can see no need to take a pound of flesh from his elderly parents. He is no longer a congressman. His career is destroyed. Legal reprisal may follow. Does Ms.Pelosi need to draw and quarter his entire family for the bloodlust of power. If that is where we are in leadership in this country, we are in a terrible mess. Would that she could look into the eyes of Mr.Foleys mother, who must be filled with shame, with a scarlet letter on her boy, flawed though he may be. Is that where democrat politics has arrived?
