It's a simple mistake. So many of those democrats were "stationed" in Canada during VietNam...

Actually another freeper came up with it, so I added it to the image. Please feel free to email it around. People need to know how much the donks really care about our troops, that they do not even know what they look like.

Hey, we should be glad that if the Demagogues want to "support" someone else's troops, at least they picked Canada and not, say, Mookie Al-Sadr's militia.....
Maybe we should all write them emails to the effect "Thank you for your support of Canada, we understand that you can't bring yourselves to truly support America's troops, but at least you picked an ally...."

I'd say it shows the DNC to be real imperialists, trying to claim full control over another country's troops like that.

Does
this look familiar? Considering that the Royal Canadian Regiment have a long and proud military history, are
fighting in Afghanistan today, and took
a casualty in defence of freedom last week... Im not entirely sure that they would appreciate having their regimental badge removed from their berets on Remembrance Day and put on another countrys political partys website as supposedly their token of support (but not to them). This is disrespectful not just to your soldiers, but to ours. And were your allies. Our soldiers fight in battles together.

"They can bring the Canadian Troops home. How many are there? 12?" Approximately 1.800 serving bravely in Afghanistan.

Well said. Please email the info around to inform our friends up north what disrespectful dummies we have done here in our democratic party. Please forgive Howie and his donkettes for being so pathetic and disrespectful. They are in the minority in our country and we keep them in very low regard.

Who is "they" and what the heck do I know about Iceland? With all due respect. I'm confused about your question.
To: ClaireSolt
ClaireSoft, you may think Iceland is part of Canada. It isn't. It's an Island nation and your country has had a stronger relationship with it than mine has. You can read more about Iceland
here. Thanks for your interest. I live on an Island off the west coast of Canada where it hardly ever snows. Although Iceland is much greener than Greenland (which is a territory of Denmark). :-P
To: Christoph from Canada
Get a grip. I was a geography teacher. I know the Iceland is not part of Canada, and I know Canadians have a chip on their shoulders sometimes. Just know that no matter how obnoxious you get, we don't care and love you anyway.
I was referring to the anti-war types who urge us to bring our boys home. They don't care about the troops who came home from Iceland, though or the 70,000 others stationed round the world in cold war deployments. They want the ones that are real busy reployed from Iraq so they can sit around bases stateside and play checkers.

No it is just they prefer Canadians to Americans, especially if they are from Quebec or Montreal.Actually, the Democrats would rather honor the soldiers who protect our deserters, than the soldiers who protect the United States.

"Get a grip. I was a geography teacher. I know the Iceland is not part of Canada, and I know Canadians have a chip on their shoulders sometimes. Just know that no matter how obnoxious you get, we don't care and love you anyway."
Claire, honey, calm down. It'll be okay. You're
entire question, context and everything, was this:
"Why didn't they throw a parade when we closed the base in Iceland, recently?"
Who pray tell would have any idea what that means? As I first answered you:
"Who is 'they' and what the heck do I know about Iceland? With all due respect. I'm confused about your question."
Since you provided absolutely no context and each and every post/reply I placed in this thread was about Canadian troops or our military's relationship to the U.S. military, the only thing I could conclude with your sparse almost
nonsensical question (given the complete dearth of background) was perhaps you thought Iceland was related to Canada: The only thing I was talking about.
So I posted some helpful info about Iceland with some background in case that was the reason for your question. And you accuse me of being not only "obnoxious" and having a "chip" on my shoulder (because I'm Canadian, you see, and
this is how we are), but also condescendingly offer your love no matter how "obnoxious you get".
Do you expect that any reasonable person from Canada who comes to this forum to comment on a photoshopped Canadian shoulder (the
topic of this thread) with his unit insignia removed, would be able to decipher your non sequitur once sentence question, which I shall repeat for emphasis:
"Why didn't they throw a parade when we closed the base in Iceland, recently?"
?
I'm going to follow
Hanlon's razor and assume that you really didn't understand how totally inadequate your question was. Now, you really need to take that chip off of
your shoulder.
