A Muslim minicab driver refused to take a blind passenger because her guide dog was "unclean".
Abdul Rasheed Majekodumni told Jane Vernon she could not get into his car with the dog because of his religion.
Islamic tradition warns Muslims against contact with dogs because they are seen as impure.
The case emerged as Jack Straw was embroiled in a controversy over Muslim women wearing veils and the row continued after a Muslim police officer was excused guard duty at the Israeli embassy. Today Mrs Vernon, 39, from Hammersmith, said: "This experience was very upsetting.
"I was tired and cold and just wanted to get home but this driver made me feel like I was a second-class citizen, like I didn't count at all."
Mrs Vernon, who works as a legal officer for the Royal National Institute for the Blind, added: "The owner of the minicab firm, Niven Sinclair, was also very insensitive, telling me that what had happened to me wasn't really very important, and I should have more respect for other people's culture. They have shown very little respect for my rights as a disabled person and have never once offered me an apology."

They'd probably sue the blind woman for offending the muslim with her dog.
Religion can blind people beyond the ability of any other blinding force.

I guess Muslims in Western society are marginalizing themselves so much that all they'll be able to do within their religious strictures is sit around collecting Welfare. Maybe that's the plan, anyway.

Nah, I doubt it. I'm sure they think blindness is God's will or punishment or something like that and refuse to help the blind at all.
I know all I need to know about Islam just from the fact that they hate our longest and best companions who have been there for us for over 100,000 years.
These people need to decide: become British, or go home.

I don't think they have to "be British" or "French" or whatever. However, they should respect the laws & customs of the countries in which they're residing. If they can't adjust, then they should be shipped out.
I know this is easier said than done. The Muzzies have grown so much there like a cancer.

I suspect that the ACLU would aid the cab driver, saying that requiring him to harbor the dog would (A) be an offense to his freedom of religion, and (B) an undue burden to possibly clean up after the animal.
The blind person could catch another cab (or specifically request one that will accomadate "pets").
Note: this does not match my view, I believe that public transportation (like a city bus) permits animals that provide assistance (typically seeing eye dogs) and even have seen busineses that permit seeing eye dogs. A cab may be privately owned, but its service is publicly regulated.
Still waiting for the ACLU to voice in about the airport travellers in the US who were denied cab service because they had wine in their bags.
