Free Republic's Robinson A 'Coward' Says Dixie Chicks Rep [BAAAAAAARF]
The Post-Chronicle ^ | October 9, 2006 | Jim Brogan

Posted on 10/09/2006 6:41:33 AM PDT by DaveLoneRanger

Natalie Maines of the 'Dixie Chicks' created quite an uproar the night of the president's decision to declare war on Iraq in 2003. Maines stated that the Dixie Chicks as a whole were 'ashamed' of the Bush decision and Maines said she was "embarrassed he was from Texas."

The group refused to retract their statement, and instead responded to the criticism by releasing their new single 'Not Ready To Make Nice,' earlier this year.

According the New York Post's Page Six, The Chicks' biggest detractor, FreeRepublic.com founder Jim Robinson, reportedly declined to appear in their documentary, "Shut Up and Sing."

Page Six has more: 'Ken Sunshine, who reps the George Bush-bashing Chicks, calls him [Jim Robinson] "a coward. A real man would put his money where his mouth is, but this Robinson guy, he'd rather hide behind his keyboard than have a real discussion about his ideas . . . he's just a chicken[bleep] fraud."'

According to Robinson's rep, Kristinn Taylor, Robinson ducked the interview: "He told me to go ahead and do it."

But that's okay! They'll still use Free Republic as a bashing ground, and put them right up front in their previews to get attention! Since taking their clothes off didn't work!

This guy a coward? I don't think so! I am glad Jim Robinson didn't go out and take the bait. They would have just made him look bad.

Here is a statement from Jim HERE.

Statement by the founder of Free Republic:

In our continuing fight for freedom, for America and our constitution and against totalitarianism, socialism, tyranny, terrorism, etc., Free Republic stands firmly on the side of right, i.e., the conservative side. Believing that the best defense is a strong offense, we (myself and those whom I'm trying to attract to FR) support the strategy of taking the fight to the enemy as opposed to allowing the enemy the luxury of conducting their attacks on us at home on their terms and on their schedule.

Therefore, we wholeheartedly support the Bush Doctrine of pre-emptive strikes on known terrorist states and organizations that are believed to present a clear threat to our freedom or national security. We support our military, our troops and our Commander-in-Chief and we oppose turning control of our government back over to the liberals and socialists who favor appeasement, weakness, and subserviency. We do not believe in surrendering to the terrorists as France, Germany, Russia and Spain have done and as Kerry, Kennedy, Clinton and the Democrats, et al, are proposing.

As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our borders, our constitution and our national sovereignty.

Free Republic is private property. It is not a government project, nor is it funded by government or taxpayer money. We are not a publicly owned entity nor are we an IRS tax-free non-profit organization. We pay all applicable taxes on our income. We are not connected to or funded by any political party, news agency, or any other entity. We sell no merchandise, product or service, and we offer no subscriptions or paid memberships. We accept no paid advertising or promotions. We are funded solely by donations (non tax deductible gifts) from our readers and participants.

We aggressively defend our God-given and first amendment guaranteed rights to free speech, free press, free religion, and freedom of association, as well as our constitutional right to control the use and content of our own personal private property. Despite the wailing of the liberal trolls and other doom & gloom naysayers, we feel no compelling need to allow them a platform to promote their repugnant and obnoxious propaganda from our forum. Free Republic is not a liberal debating society. We are conservative activists dedicated to defending our rights, defending our constitution, defending our republic and defending our traditional American way of life.

Our God-given liberty and freedoms are not negotiable.

May God bless and protect our men and women in uniform fighting for our freedom and may God continue to bless America.

Jim Robinson

Kristinn can call FOX News and see if he can get a half hour. A real debate - with a chess clock to keep it equal - might be interesting.

Appearing in a propaganda flick, allowing dishonest Hollywood creeps to cut and paste would NOT be interesting...

Would the Hollywood narcissists come to FreeRepublic to debate if we could take out words and rearrange other words while they were writing their comments? I don't think so. Then again, because we're not puffed up liars like them, we wouldn't do that - we wouldn't cheat - but they would. And if Kristinn is in their film, they'll cheat. It's who they are.

The funny thing is this film will finish off the chicks - but the film maker doesn't care - he'll make his.

"You have been singled out and attacked by America's premier Entertraitors."

That is giving them way more credit than they deserve. They are no talent losers who find it necessary to act like political morons in order to get noticed. Their records don't sell and no one wants to see them in concert, so they have to make a living as political prostitutes for the countries socialists and other assorted moon bats.

Thats what this film is about. It's a payday for these losers. Pathetic if you think about it.

We are at war. Jim Robinson supports our troops and their Commander in Chief. I support Jim Robinson.

In the words of Ben Stein (he says it better than i can)...

Real stars are not riding around in the backs of limousines or in Porsches or getting trained in yoga or Pilates and eating only raw fruit while they have Vietnamese girls do their nails.

They can be interesting, nice people, but they are not heroes to me any longer. A real star is the soldier of the 4th Infantry Division who poked his head into a hole on a farm near Tikrit, Iraq. He could have been met by a bomb or a hail of AK-47 bullets. Instead, he faced an abject Saddam Hussein and the gratitude of all of the decent people of the world.

A real star is the U.S. soldier who was sent to disarm a bomb next to a road north of Baghdad. He approached it, and the bomb went off and killed him.

A real star, the kind who haunts my memory night and day, is the U.S. soldier in Baghdad who saw a little girl playing with a piece of unexploded ordnance on a street near where he was guarding a station. He pushed her aside and threw himself on it just as it exploded. He left a family desolate in California and a little girl alive in Baghdad.

---------------------------------

The Dixie Chicks still don't get it.

Meanwhile back at the 'ranch' (aka: Austin Texas)...
Several dozen fans showed up for the Dixie Chicks concert Sunday at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin.
They hadn’t heard the trio had rescheduled their show for december, a result of slow ticket sales

over lead singer Natalie Maines’ comments three years ago about President Bush.
Back in 2003, before a concert in London,
Maines spoke out against Bush and his planned invasion of Iraq.
She said she was ashamed that Bush was from Texas.

I first heard of Free Republic after the 2000 election. These were the people outside the VPs mansion yelling "Get out of Cheney's house." to then losing presidential candidate Albert Gore, Jr.

I knew then that I liked these Freeper folks right away.

I assume that a good number of conservatively minded people continue to learn about FR today through the constant whining of the Dixie Chicks about this forum.

Thanks for the free advertising Comrade Maines! Keep up the good work. Welcome to any Chick Freepers Babies.
