That would lessen the pressure to colonize and therefore not show up in the first place. If, OTH, they are a war-like race and conquer for the sake of territory and "the glory of the Empire", we would be in deep trouble, because as Napolean said, "If your objective is to take Vienna, then TAKE Vienna." and their objectives would be much the same. We would be a mere annoyance to be swatted away like a mosquito at a picnic............
