Bill Clinton is NOT running.

The powerful soundbite must prove democrats can't be trusted with National Security. It must summarize the above details in a few words.

And it must clearly show Republicans have taken big actions, compared to democrats fiddling along.

On Hannity today, General Tommy Franks said the democrats "kicked the can along" instead of doing anything substantive. Hence we wound up with Al Qaeda, Saddam, Iran and North Korea.

The democrats were/are the problem. Republicans are the solution.

It's slightly more complicated and dangerous that this. The Republicans are trying to find a solution. Nobody has waged a war like this before. Typically, war takes fine tuning with fits and starts until the effective strategies can be found.

With the liberals nipping at the heels of the President, the ability to "fine tune" and adjust is very difficult, if not impossible. We may lose because of the Democrats!

I'm sorry I missed that. I'm reading Gen. Franks' autobiography - "American Soldier" - absolutely fascinating.

And .. if I remember correctly, in one of the books written about the Clinton admin .. I think it was Clinton's chief of staff who gleefully recounted to some of Clinton's cabinet members about all the items they had left for Bush that were like bombs waiting to go off.

I'm wondering if a portion of their made is that the bombs didn't go off - because Bush was smarter than they gave him credit for - and he defused a lot of stuff - partly by writing EO's and undoing the junk Clinton tried to do without having to go through Congress. This was also the reason Hillary used to whine a lot about how Bush was undoing everything they had built - she was right - Bush destroyed all Bill's EO's - or the bombs waiting to go off.

We have got to get to the polls and get rid of this scum once and for all. I'm sick of this C_ _ P!

Obviously these countries have had programs for a decade or more which threaten us. I can't forgive Clinton for doing his same old, same old, but Bush has been in office for 6 years and each of these countries except for Libya and Iraq have ceaselessly developed WMD and the capabilities of delivering it to our soil. Clinton had 8 years, Bush has had 6. Our government is not securing us. It's not a balloon bursting in Bush's face - it's a balloon bursting in our faces.

History, at least American history, isn't going to consider what some tinhorn dictator whose country was imploding thinks. What it will consider is why for 16 years, the President of the United States did not exercise more authority in defeating our enemies. Why did they wait 14 years to rally the world around sanctions for NK and Iran? You can play out the scenarios many different ways, but at the end of this 14-year stretch, we're less safe from these two countries than we were at the beginning. And we will be substantially pulling out of Iraq in 12 months, there's no question about that, so that threat isn't going away either.

The Clintonistas, being totally clueless, simply kicked the can down the road so some future administration would have to deal with it. It's all about Bubba's legacy, don't cha know?
