On this issue. I think it only fair we have to realize members of both sides of the aisle have since the republic got under way, participate in pork barrel legislation.
Whether it is right or wrong, I choose not to debate. I once worked for a space/defense contractor. We delivered many required systems toward national defense as well as efforts in the pioneering of space exploration.
So for me the issue is a two edged sword.
