Plea deal ends state, federal cases
ByADRIENNE PACKER and K.C. HOWARD
With their case against the Hells Angels unraveling, federal prosecutors agreed to a plea bargain Wednesday that reduced charges against the six main defendants and dismissed all charges against three dozen other members of the infamous motorcycle club.
Forty-two Hells Angels had faced the possibility of life sentences as a result of a gunbattle with their rival club, the Mongols, in Harrah's Laughlin during the 2002 River Run motorcycle festival. But under the deal approved Wednesday, six Hells Angels will serve no more than 30 months in federal prison, and charges against the remaining Hells Angels members are dropped.

I live on the same block as their New York club house.
--if the newspaper account can be believed, the prosecutorial ineptitude is unbelievable--
Third Street crew, "when in doubt, knock 'em out" (3rd street motto).
Had they attacked a muslime gang they would all be wearing orange jumpsuits for 50 years.
How times had changed.
I got an idea..........give 'em each an M-60, 10,000 rounds of ammunition, a crapload of grenades, and parachute drop them and their bikes, with an ample amount of gasoline, into afganistan, and turn 'em loose ( don't forget an ample amount of confiscated drugs ) they would have a ball, and a whole lot of taliban would end up taking a dirt nap
They weren't inept. They had no case.

In Hunter Thompson's book, he mentioned that the Hells Angels had sent a letter to LBJ volunteering to go to Vietnam to fight the communists. They just didn't want the discipline associated with doing that. It was good for a few laughs.
They did volunteer to go fight in Vietnam, but were turned down.
Show our sincere respect for our fallen heroes, their families, and their communities.
Shield the mourning family and friends from interruptions created by any protestor or group of protestors.
...in other words, showing what grownups on motorcycles are like.
