Where I stand on Iraq ::Hillary Clinton to NY Daily News Editorial Board
NY Daily News ^ | October 12, 2006 | Hillary Clinton

Posted on 10/12/2006 4:45:18 PM PDT by Cincinna

Sen. Clinton says how Bush went wrong and offers her prescription for the war.

Clinton met with the Daily News Editorial Board yesterday. These comments are excerpted from her remarks.

"We have to deal with the Iraq we have, not the Iraq we wish we had. And the Iraq we have is a deteriorating, violent conflict that, if not technically a civil war, is about as close as you can get.

Having been now on the Armed Services Committee for more than 3½ years, the uniformed military has tried to be respectful of the chain of command. They've been unwilling to contradict the secretary of defense when he said, "Well, nobody's asked me for more troops." I mean, it's just flat-out untrue. It's been untrue for years.

There are three big things that need to happen..."

Now let me get this straight. The Hildebeast says she's met with Iraqi leaders and they aren't putting together a program for oil revenues to go to their people, fast enough to suit her. It is THEIR country and THEIR right to make internal decisions. Is the Hildebeast saying she is going to THREATEN them? Just how, Ms. Know-nothing are you going to dictate to the Iraqi leaders how to run their country? What a moron.

Isn't it odd that Iraq has been deteriorating for 3 1/2 years? At what point has it deteriorated to the point of not existing any more? 10 years? 15? 20?

Tubba should tend to her own backyard before telling anyone what to do. She can't even control her own husband who is straying from the fold so to speak. IMO, they deserve each other.

Notice how the editorial board had no questions. The Queen is not be questioned.

Yeah, like if the Sunnis get some oil money, they will play nice with everyone.

Cankles forgets that the Sunnis ran the show for thirty years under Saddam and tortured and killed the Shiites and Kurds. The Sunnis are lucky we are there--that ensures they won't be ethnically cleansed by the other to groups, who definitely have an axe to grind with them.

Yep, the oil deal proposed by Her Heinous will solve everything. Why, oh why, could we not see the genius of this single issue solution? Oh, how could we be so blind?

If Hillary! becomes President on 1/20/09, Civil War II will break out by 2012.She's that dangerous.

All about demanding Rumsfeld resign.

We have to deal with the Iraq we have, not the Iraq we wish we had.

She plagiarized Rumsfeld's comments too.

That is the exact same link posted with the article.

The original link points to the editorial page, which -- tomorrow -- will have different content on it than today and may not include the Hillary article. I thought it would be useful to link directly to the (hopefully) permanent location of the article.

I am sure that after Hillary abandons 90% of Iraq to its fate the Kurds will sleep soundly at night with her promises. :-(

Thanks, I missed that stolen thought. She has none of her own so I ought not be surprised.
