"unnecessarily mean"? No dumbass, their being 'mean' was quite necessary: to scare the bejesus out of you for doing such a damned stupid thing. Bet you won't do it again, eh?

It's not the job of the SS to scare and intimidate. The SS exists to guard and investigate. These agents crossed the line.

Too bad your parents failed in teaching you proper behavior.

I disagree strongly there as well. As soon as this girl realized what she did was wrong, she removed it without any external prompting. A kid who can police herself like that is a good kid.

Good Kid? Did you miss the part where she is planning on recruiting other high school students in protest against our country? She plans on using this incident as incitement of other teenagers to join her "cause". Yeah, real good girl alright. She's lucky she's not my daughter.

You've got to be kidding? You are taking the word of a kid that wrote "Kill Bush"? You've been watching way too much TV and movies. The Secret Service doesn't work like that. She was probably intimidated by being called out for questioning. Just being in the room with people that powerful can be intimidating to anyone. By-the-way, here's a news flash...they were investigating! And they were guarding...the President!

She's not a good kid because she did it in the first place!

Put the cup down and back away from the koolaid.

Just because one covers up or destroys the evidence of a crime doesn't mean the crime didn't occur. If this young girl had the mindset to even think about the murder of our president then this girl is not only a criminal for publishing such thoughts but needs some serious mental help.

"It's not the job of the SS to scare and intimidate."

You are correct. The SS should have arrested and prosecuted her. What she did was against the law.

"The SS exists to guard and investigate. These agents crossed the line."

No, they did not even get near the line. Do you really believe that investigations can take place without some scaring people? How naive.

"I disagree strongly there as well. As soon as this girl realized what she did was wrong, she removed it without any external prompting. A kid who can police herself like that is a good kid."

Are you forgetting that she is the one that put it there? The only reason she took it down was in hopes of not getting into trouble. Read what her response was when her mom first IMed her. She asked if she was in a lot of trouble. She threatened the President, which is against the law for anyone of any age, and you are justifying it.

All who threaten the President should be prosecuted, not coddled.
