I just think that, when it comes to a major purchase, I'd rather not go for the item from the store known for its discounts instead of its quality.

For the record, I have yet to see any of the high-quality brands at Wal-Mart. No Sharp, no Samsung, no Sony. I do have a $59 10'' Orion TV set up in my dorm room, though.

The Democrats are such hypocrites!
They declared war on WalMart several years ago with their campaign to force them to unionize.
Now WalMart is fighting back and the DemocRATS accuse them of declaring war on them.
Hypocrite bastards!

"From this day forward, no citizen -- regardless of their party affiliation -- should doubt how right-wing Wal-Mart's agenda really is," Blank said. "It is an agenda that no American could support, jeopardizes the future of our country and is one of the key reasons why Wal-Mart's public image continues to collapse."

No, people like you are the reason why Wal-Mart's image suffers. You are the reason that Wal-Mart is now in Polotics. You use politics against them? You invite them into your game? Then they have every right and even an obligation to their investors to get in and play hard. These idiots brought this on themselves. I would love to hear that Wal-Mart is getting all their employees to vote. Hard working people most often vote Republican. Better yet, I would love to see Wal-Mart close on election day across the country so that all its "associates" and customers could go vote.

[I've got an idea... It seems that all of these groups disagree with the business practices of Walmart. Hey! Why don't they just all band together and form a corporation that goes into business to compete against Walmart! They could open stores all over the country, and pay a starting, living wage of $10.00/hr to everyone working there... Or whatever they feel is the "right" wage to pay.]

Good point. They could "Air America" Wal-Mart. That would show them. Throw millions at a business venture that would crush democratic opposition. Works every time.

:o)

And they could fund this venture with money from Hollywood and George Soros.

Perhaps Wal-Marts' selections vary by location, but Wal-Mart carries those brands in my area, and also on-line.

Re: Post #23:

You must be a stealthy business tycoon with coy observations like that. Is your real name Warren Buffet?

...Selling goods at low prices....who'da thunk people would buy that scam?

Good for Walmart. It's about time people fought back against these organized Democrat political campaigns. Call the Waaahbulance for this union shill.

"Not because the "union shop" employee necessarily gets higher wages, as there is no definitive proof of this."

If this were true and they get those big fat paychecks, I wonder where they shop? Couldn't be Wal-Mart could it. LOL. Amen.

From the Walmart.com site
1052 items found for “sharp”
50 items found for “samsung”
341 items found for “sony”

Wal-Mart sells whatever brands and SKUs its research has determined the most people want. They also sell it cheaper. The Samsung TV in my house came from there for about $30 less than any other retailer in the area.

I think WalMart is in bed with the Chinese.

That bed must be getting awfully crowded with every other major retailer in the country in it too.

Makes a nice sounding liberal talking point though.

Gabz;Mrs.Nooseman - Thanks for the ping and comments.
