I agree Pollard's continued imprisonment is unjust, he should have been executed a long time ago.

Consider Pollard's imprisonment as a small price to pay for the Liberty incident.

I guess he should be let go because he was spying for someone all those groups like, as opposed for someone they don't like. Well, no.
To: Anti-Bubba182
They want Ohmert to demand his release when he meets with POTUS next month.

Instead of letting Pollard out, how about we send him some company? Starting with the traitors at the New York Times.

Ohmert should be gone for the Lebanon fiasco. He is in no position to demand anything.

Even in spite of the endorsements of such august organizations as The ACLU
That's not the way to try to persuade any conservative.

How democratic(gag barf wrech), he is imprisoned not because of who he spied for but because he spied on us

For the way pollard damaged this country, we should send him to Club Gitmo and tell all the rags he's an Israeli spy.
Heck, I'll pay $49.95 to see that on pay per view!
To: Anti-Bubba182
Not more than a month ago, I recall reading that Ohmert was headed for a fall with Bibi waiting in the wings. IMO, Israel needs to put Bibi and the Likud back in charge.
As for Pollard, let him rot, but I am furious about Lynn Steward getting a whole 28 months today.

It is an open secret in Washington that Jonathan is serving a life sentence not because of what he did, but because of what he represents -- the State of Israel. Yes, we routinely round up Jews and imprison them on trumped-up espionage charges. What-the-f$#k-ever.
You see, Mrs. Pollard, Israel had been penetrated by the Soviets at that time, and whatever secrets he gave to our Israeli friends probably made their way into Soviet hands. As somebody with a security clearance he knew the risks, both to himself and the US, and he's lucky he wasn't executed or made to disappear.
Even in spite of the endorsements of such august organizations as The ACLU, The National Association Of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and The American Association Of Jewish Lawyers And Jurists, and a host of top legal experts, the merits of the case for the release of Jonathan Pollard have never been heard in an American court of law.
America-hating pinkos all, I'll wager.

Pollard must have friends in high places, or he must have done something that the Israelis really liked. I suspect it is the latter.
Now, why is the US so adamant about keeping him in the slammer. Maybe the info that he stole from all of us was very valuable to our adversaries.
May he have an adequate amount of time to reflect on just what it means to be a traitor to one's country.

Jonathan Pollard is a convicted traitor. He should not be under house arrest, he should have been executed. He is a traitor.

OPINION:
Spies against the U.S.A. should be executed.
In rare cases of extreme cooperation; these spies
should have life imprisonment -- in isolation.

Pollard's take was transferred to THE SOVIETS. And he was PAID. And he CONSTANTLY shot his mouth off about working for the Mossad (even when he didn't) it's a miracle the feds caught him at all.
The take of the docs he stole filled several rooms.
He stole it ALL.

You don't suppose he's related to Esther Pollard, the author of this piece, do you? Pollard gets out when the USS Liberty's casualties are brought back to life.

"Pollard must have friends in high places"
Israel can't abandon it's highest profile spies. That move would not be lost upon those who would follow in Pollard's footsteps.
Israel is good at spying. Having Pollard incarcerated for the duration of his natural life is the best thing we can do to protect ourselves from Israeli spying.

You wrote, "I agree Pollard's continued imprisonment is unjust, he should have been executed a long time ago."
I'm with you. Throughout all of this--his arrest, his trial, his imprisonment--Pollard has never once voiced any remorse for his actions. He regrets getting caught, of course, and he is even downright petulant about his continued (and hopefully lifelong) imprisonment. The only good thing about any of this pro-Pollard rubbish (ideally) is that these lingering rays of hope serve to punish him further as they are blotted out, one by one over time.
I hate all traitors to my country, but Pollard's smug self-righteousness gets under my skin the most.
Let Pollard rot. Let his days in prison be long and unendurable. Let him die a lonely, lingering, painful death in a prison hospital ward, and after he dies, let him go to that place in Hell reserved for traitors, where he can rot some more.
