I remember the "terrible" economy under Bush I. Everybody was doing OK, but they were "worried about their neighbor." It was everywhere.

In fact, the recent CBS/Times poll found that 46 percent said they were making just enough to get by and another 17 percent said that they weren't making enough to pay their bills. Only a third of Americans said they had more than enough to get by. A lot of these economic problems would go away if people stopped living beyond their means. (and that goes for you too Capt. Tom) - tom

Her research has found that many voters "think the Republicans manipulate gas prices."LOL! A couple of people think this, one of them being the writer, and it equates to "many!" The article contains the word "feel" 5 times, and the word "think" only once, and then inside of quotation marks. I don't vote on my feelings, I vote because I think. That is impossible for liberals to understand.

"GOP created economy"???????
The GOP has been less of a burden on the economy than the DIMS. They have certainly NOT created it!
To: presidio9
On a panel in Washington last week, Fournier said that Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm was pulling ahead in the polls despite the terrible economy in her state because she made that connection on values. Or maybe because the liberal media in Michigan loves Aunt Jenny and hates millionaire former Amway owner Dick DeVos.

In 1980 she took a leave of absence to work on the Presidential campaign of Sen. Edward Kennedy. 'nuff said. How in good conscience can See BS possibly make this woman their senior political analyst???

Why are articles like this even put up here to read? If we don't call them on their media bias here, no one will.

Oh, yeah, ditsy Dotty is just yer typical unbiased MSM HACK:
"....where she worked on the polling for the Presidential campaigns of George McGovern and Jimmy Carter and for many Senate and Gubernatorial campaigns. In 1980 she took a leave of absence to work on the Presidential campaign of Sen. Edward Kennedy. In the 1980s Lynch developed the concept of the gender gap and is one of the major authorities on the topic of women in politics. In 1983 she opened Lynch Research, a political polling firm where she was the first women pollster in a Presidential campaign-the Gary Hart Presidential race and the Mondale Ferraro general election."

Yep, she sure turns up with many of the big turkeys of the past 35 years!!! Now is this mere correlation or also causation? And why does See-BS think a dolt like this actually knows anything?

"the only economic statistics that matter right now are flat incomes and still more than a majority of voters feel they are falling behind economically. New jobs aren't as good as the jobs we lost and any gains aren't trickling down to the middle class. And voters feel that the economic outlook is glum for the next generation."
Indeed, this is what's between the lines. And conservatives do themselves no favor when they dismiss this economic trend.
