'K Kay. What you say is true. Not much to do with what I was posting about. Oh, wait, I forgot.....Arlen was sooo helpful with Dubyas nominations to the SC, wasn't he?

The lefties and union dems here really hate him. Hate him passionately, even the prolife dems. I can't figure it. When folks I know tell me lies they've heard about Rick, they don't want to hear the truth, or the 'truths' about Casey or Rendell and their records. Really no independant thinking at all.

Just to be clear, the 'bot was taking me to task for thinking Santorum will very probably lose.

No matter to me...Dane has always had some strange (to me) positions.

When the President and Santorum backed arlen, I lost much of my hopes for Santorum. I thought we might finally have a strong Conservative to back, instead of another run of the mill pub.

I will with hold anymore about it until later in the race.

OK. I wasn't trying to be off subject, I just tagged on to your post. I agree that Arlen wears a fake hair -- ie. he's not a real conservative. My point is that we need to let bygones be bygones and plan for the future.

FWIW, I've observed that folks who don't bring up old issues usually have superior marriages. They move on to the present and plan for the future. The same could be applied here.

George Stephanopoulos tried to cut Rick off in the middle of a reply to a question. Rick would have none of it.

Rick stated I still have a minute and 1/2 may I finish my statement.

He was beautiful

The real test is, after Rick loses the election, does he let out that supporting Specter over Toomey in the primary was a major mistake...

Sounds more like the edsheppa test than the "real" test to me.

Are you saying a bunch of conservatives are not going to vote for Santorum because he supported Spector, thus handing the election to casey?

Brilliant!!

This race is an uphill fight but we still have a chance. Rick is a fighter and I know conservatives in Pa will be working hard to get out the vote for him. Holding this seat would be a huge blow to the Dems.

Looking at your hopes for the Senate as "conservative" only is one-dimensional. There is another hope you should have, which is large numbers of Republicans in order to hold the majority.

Some R's do not add to conservative causes, but add to a majority.

To punish Santorum for supporting Toomey in this light is major foolishness.

The so-called "true conservatives"(aka trolls) such as nohingnew have never been the sharpest pencils in the drawer, thus there defacto support of casey jr. over a real conservative Santorum.

JMO, Santorum pulls it out and nothingnew will be crying in his Starbuck's on November 8th.

No, Santorum didn't lose their votes. He lost their passion. The question is how important is it to have the lawn signs and bumper stickers, phone calls and leafleting. He lost a good many of his worker bees, not their votes. The question is how important is that work? We'll find out come election day.

And I think you will be very saddened(ala tom daschle), old and tired come the morning of Novemeber 8th, when Rick Santorum wins.

My favorite senator. Too bad I can't live in Pa for this election.

I have no intention of punishing Santorum, as if I could anyways. If I lived in PA I would vote for him. I was disappointed. That's all. Disappointed.

When he first entered the political arena, I had high(er) hopes for him. Maybe the guy who could turn the Republican party into a Real Conservative party.

Like I said, I will withhold anymore judgement until I see how this plays out.

Well edsheppa said "after Santorum loses the election" so my post was based on that.

We are supposing that Santorum will fail based on the fact that he loses conservative votes due to his support of Spector.

To say "he didn't lose their votes" moves outside of the hypothetical posed.

Did Santorum get any significant votes in Philly? - Hard to imagine.

Here in Montgomery, I see quite few few signs for him.

All the Republicans have to do is run an ad showing the debates.

When Bob Casey talks he looks like a blithering idiot.

Rick is taking on agenda driven one sided questions from the drive by media and still kicking Bobs ass.

Hey' I reread your post and realize that another poster had me railing against "Santorum punishers" and I caught you in the crossfire. I see you didn't really fit that category. Sorry.

I was supported Toomey at the time, but would never dream of withholding my vote from Santorum now. FReegards...

You just keep on proving my point about you Dane.

BTW...How do you feel about Santorum's stand on illegal aliens? ....What's that?...I didn't hear you...
