FOX News had a caption on the screen that stated "Snipes tried to steal $12 million from the IRS." It sounds like it was the other way around.

How much do you want to bet that he'll play the race card and get away with it & or move out of the country where he can live with no more pesky tax problems...

You must ALWAYS file a tax return. Even if you don't owe anything. The feds came after him for tax fraud. Try that and life behind bars will make your life look a lot different.

The sequel for Passenger 57 is going to called Prisoner A579436B. Maybe he could be in Con Air II.
To: kralcmot
Snipes, 44, is also charged with six counts of failing to file tax returns for the years 1999 through 2004.
Not filing returns for 5 years is absurdly stupid. And the people down at the IRS seem to have a new zeal for catching this sort of thing.

Wes, Wes, didn't I teach you anything?
To: Jaysun
I agree. However, given his tendency to run afoul of the law, this isn't surprising.

I thought 'Whistler' was responsible for his personal finances...I sort of liked "Blade 3." What a babe Jessica Beal turned into! What amazing arms and shoulders! And everything else is quite nice too!

Um, I think he said "voluntary compliance." You are always free not to comply, as did Mr. Snipes.

His attorney will reach a settlement out of court, because the IRS will otherwise nail his hide to the wall.

I guess they don't withhold from those studio movie checks.
He makes a lot of money and you would think he would have paid what was due.
I like his acting and I find him entertaining.
He's a talented guy IMO.
