U.S. protests restrictions on its citizens entering West Bank

The US government has lodged a vigorous protest with Israel over its restrictions on the entry of Palestinian-Americans into the territories.

State Department officials told senior Israeli diplomats in Washington that they find it "hard to understand" Israel's discriminating against American citizens based on their ethnic background.

The officials also stressed that in the past, the U.S. had encouraged Palestinian-Americans to settle in the territories, in order to facilitate Palestinian economic growth. Some of these individuals own homes and businesses in the territories, and the Israeli restrictions make it hard for them to look after their assets.

Israel promised to look into the American complaint. A diplomatic source in Jerusalem said on Tuesday that the individuals involved have been blacklisted for security reasons, based on targeted intelligence.

US upset with Israel because Israel is not rushing to allow in terrorists.

You can't make this stuff up.

Just the Kerry State Dept working up to America's greatest legacy ever.

It is Kerry, right?

Just because they passed through out country first is no reason for Israel to let them in if they are especially Palestinians.

Former CAIR member gets 7 years,

FBI agents arrest Ghassan Elashi and brothers in 2002.
Two American citizens with ties to a major U.S. Islamic civil rights group faced judgment in court today for aiding the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, with one sentenced to seven years prison and the other pleading guilty.

Ghassan Elashi, a founder of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development and a member of the founding board of directors of the Texas branch of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, was sentenced to nearly seven years in prison for financial ties to a high-ranking terrorist and for making illegal computer exports to countries that back terrorism.

Meanwhile, an Atlanta imam, Mohamed Shorbagi, pleaded guilty to providing material support to Hamas.

A Justice Department statement said Shorbagi, 42, of Rome, Ga., "provided the support through donations to the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development knowing that some or all of the money was in fact destined for Hamas."

Hamas, which won a parliamentary majority in the Palestinian territories in January, was designated by the U.S. as a foreign terrorist organization in 1997.

"This case illustrates that people who illegally support foreign terrorist organizations may be found anywhere in the United States, even in quiet and pleasant places like Rome, Georgia," said U.S. Attorney David E. Nahmias in a statement.

Yep, those guys are case in point.

Imagine the roles reversed and the U.S. was wary about Arab-Muslims with Israeli citizenship entering the U.S. (for national security reasons). You think Israel would give a damn? Not a chance. In fact, they'd understand completely.

They are terrorists. They're in our universities and even in some of our sensitive federal offices. They are terrorists. They speak out of one side of their faces to their bureaucrat bosses and out of the other side to the rest of us.

IMO, synagogue communities should move away from the coasts and toward the rural center of our country. Let pagans administer their future without bringing harm to you.

They would help point them out. To protect a friend.

...where complaints of encounters with terrorists go when military commanders and judicial people don't want to hear them? Things are too weird.

Yup, sure does sound like our State Department. It's absolutely amazing to hear stuff like this. Is our State Department deaf, dumb and blind, or what?
