Well I never saw one warning label on my modem, my laptop, or in my ISP contract. That's at least 3 lawsuits, I better email my attorney...
Since I use the P.C. to share real news from real sources and not the MSM, TV Junkie News, and I share conservsative values in forums and listen to talk radio, coupled with work, I would say I would fall into a stupid general category like this one. I listen to the radio, do my work,
read the conservative news, and speak with people in the cyber community, who have values.
Gee, does the make the MSM, (Mad!)
Well at least we are not addicted to drugs and MTV.
You are a great pusher. No wonder we're all "addicted" :)
Hello, my name is seawolf and I am not addicted, no I tell you!!!!
And I am not in denial, no I'm not.
Now if only someone will loosen my restraints so I can keep on typing.
Me too. And that's just the time I'm at work! Oh!
US full of "research addicts."
You've raised an excellent point. I watch no more than one hour of TV per week. Look at that versus the national average.
Yes, YES, YESSSSS!!!!! I am an addict. And the FREE REPUBLIC did that to me.
Beforehand, I was a happy nincompoop. Maybe went online for about an hour a day. Now I'm out of control. I FReep day & night. I miss it when I'm gone.
Actually, it's a healthy addiction. Did anyone ever die from having too much FREE REPUBLIC? I mean, the humor here is wonderful.
Seriously, my home DSL/Ethernet cable got knocked out this summer by a storm, so for 3 months I was Internetless. The feeling was weird: not just the loss of FREEping but the loss of structure.
Fortunately my freelance work kept me busy. In between that, I read a few books, cleaned the apartment, visited friends. All that boring stuff. Had to catch up on FReeping surreptitiously, at the office.
Oh, that's right... I forgot. To stop the computer you must depress the 'start' button. I still haven't figured that one out...
I tried that on my truck and had to replace the starter!
Maid every two weeks and someone contracted to do the windows and carpets bi yearly.
Let's get the contract firm.
Hello everyone. My name is Niuhuru and I'm an internet addict.
I think it started when I was twelve and I had learned how to use the internet. I then used it for school, fun, and communication.
Then once I discovered I could find out everything I wanted I began to explore more a little and soon I was looking up everything I wanted. Well, here I am, unemployed, flunked out of school, and obese (damn you taco bell) and the parents are charging rent. I though I could quit when I wanted to, but apparantly not. I'm still surfing google while writing this so please pray for me.
Heed my tale of woe, lest others suffer like me.
"If everyone ran to the library and spent 30 hours a week there reading newspapers I'll bet no one would call it "self medication""
They'd call them what they've always been called: nerds.
I do have two friends who do in fact use Web TV, so I can confirm that they do exist, (at least as of a year ago), when we last talked about it. Web TV users are actually computer phobes for the most part, afraid of hitting a wrong key and turning their boxes into puddles of molten metal in the blink of an eye. They are also among the most hard-headed people on earth.
