Britain has become the main target for a resurgent al-Qaida, which has successfully regrouped and now presents a greater threat than ever before, according to counter-terrorist officials. They have revised their views about the strength of the network abroad, and the methods terrorists are able to use in the UK.

The 2nd Amendment protects lives and property every day. Don't go there and try to confiscate legal firearms from responsible gun owners.

Yes, but unfortunately, most of that 3% is located in the large cities where the press can make the most of their presense. As a result, Al Qaeda believes it has a much greater chance of taking over the UK if they just pull off a spectacular event. They don't understand the Brits any more than they understand the Americans. An attack would have exactly the opposite effect they have been hoping for.
They pull off a spectacular event, like 9-11, and the average quiet Brit (the one with the backbone of titanium) will suddenly stand up and say "ENOUGH" and it will be all over.
