How many VVAW were busted as not ever being in the military at all.

There was one notable one that I can't recall that gave congressional testimony.

I don't see this lawsuit going to far, but good luck to them anyways. It would be fun to have Kerry under oath to see just how much he really knew about his group's assassination plots against US political leaders.

"Campbell’s lawsuit put a unique spin on the definition of defamation: He claimed that Stolen Honor damaged the public reputations of himself, Kerry and others by questioning whether they truly were the baby-killers they claimed to be!"

Interesting.
Campbell's entire professional reputation is dependent on his being a murderous war-criminal.

"My fellow POWs and I who were the target of these lawsuits are not willing to quit or surrender. Kerry and his cowardly followers may have achieved their purpose of keeping the American people from seeing Stolen Honor in 2004, but we refuse to allow the truth about Vietnam to remain untold."

Keep-a-going!

I'd always assumed that Senator Kerry's diatribe before the Congress constituted either a confession of war crimes (which were not the pursued) or perjury.

Now I learn that it was neither.

Solomon was right, there truly IS nothing new under the sun.

...implications reaching beyond Kerry’s veracity and reputation.

Kerry has recently made noise about "fighting" the "Swift-boaters" and has publicly stated that he won't take the alledged "abuse" he "suffered" at the hands of those who questioned his service and patriotism.

Keep on making noise, Kerry, you low-life, slimy, SOB, traitorous poodle-man.

Sign the 180, you lying bastard!

I wonder why Campbell has never been charged with the war crimes that he said he committed?

While hard evidence may have been in short supply during his sworn testimony, Campbell did offer the names of "witnesses" who would confirm his stories. Not surprisingly, the first two were Kerry State Veterans Campaign Coordinators and long-time VVAW organizers in Florida and Massachusetts.

Subpoenas were served on both men but, before either could be deposed, one checked himself into a hospital for elective back surgery and the other had himself arrested and committed to a mental institution. At last press reports, he was released from the psychiatric hospital and fled the country to Vietnam via Hawaii.

Kerry supporters alert, LOL!

The media will bury this story. The damage to their credibility, what little of it they have left, would be enormous. How could they defend over 35 years of deception and propping up lies ? How could they defend not verifying what they have been reporting all this time ? It is quite telling that these VVAW members had NEVER been put under oath. Col. Day should be held up as an example of what a true hero and patriot is.

Kerry will drop out of the Presidential race before the primary season even gets underway.

1. He doesn't want to give up his Senate seat.

2. He won't sign Form 180 and he'll be skewered all over again by the Swifties.

3. He won't release the diary he loaned to Douglas Brinkley to write his biography, "Tour of Duty." When John Edwards came on board the campaign, he was told to suppress all discussion of the diary because, in it, Kerry boasted of meeting the "terrorists" from North Vietnam in Paris.

The Democrats (and the media) will keep him either out of the race or minimized in it.

It would be even better to see him, under oath, tell us why he met 3 times with enemy leaders in Paris = while still in uniform - and just why, since this is a crime, per our Constitution, punishable by lots of jail time - and disqualifies one from EVER serving in ANY elected office - even dog catcher - that he is a U.S. Senator...

and why did jimmah carter, on his first day in office, as his first act, 'pardon' him - etc etc

He'd only continue to lie, feds would have to find at least two others who could testify that they were conplicant and that JFK was as well.

On the other hand, the possibility might cause a boost in long term 'visits' to Hanoi by their old friends.

What is the lawsuit about and what exactly are they trying to find out regarding Kerry's Service? Bottomline please...in less than 20,000 words.
