I have seen more bald eagles in the past 9 months than in the past 9 years - they must be getting frisky.

Photo #1: "Roll Cloud"...

My 10-year-old daughter once said, "Daddy, you have shown us several 'cold fronts' -- but, what does a 'cold back' look like?"

LOL!!! (...from the mouth of babes...)

Clinton said he was going to take the Eagle off the endangered species list around 98. We're holding our breath, and boy; they sure are endangered!

I saw at least 6 different Bald Eagles this summer while out fishing on 3 different lakes in SE/PA. Been fishing since the 60's and these were the first ones I saw on their own in the wild.

In two days of back roads driving, we saw one in eastern Oregon, and another one in eastern Utah. Early this summer, I also saw one in SW South Dakota, about 2 miles from our ranch.

That makes three in one year; normally we would, in comparable travels, see less than one/year.
