The GOP candidate had a sick person with him who is being healed by adult stem cells. The GOP candidate managed to distinguish between embryonic and adult stem cells. Other Republicans are catching on.

Let's hope Republicans (and non-Republicans) catch on fast... as in before Election Day! :o)

The Beauty of this ad is that it has HOMETOWN HERO's telling the Sheeple that Democrats are nuts....

Now, which do you think the locals will respond better to?

The bobbing, weaving Fox? Or the guy they will gather in the bars by the hundreds of thousands to watch??

That's because he is an American. He's lived here since 1982, and became a citizen in 2000.

Dave, your DUmmie like rhetoric ain't going to suprress Michael J. Fox's pro-abortion views.

I guess you went to public school, I was referring to the Caviezel ad, not the Michael J. Fox commercial. Do you have any idea what the topic of this thread is? The Caviezel ad has no mention of any politicians. It just addressed what it says are untruths being spread about ammendment II. Did you even bother to watch the ad before you mouth off. Your DU obsession leads me to believe you are a closet Dem. Fess up.

Is it on TV?

I first saw it via a link on Drudge this afternoon. I think it was on myspace.com. I saw it on the local news here in St. Louis tonight. It runs tomorrow during the World Series here in Missouri (assuming the game isnt rained out).

Thanks. I didn't know the exact details, but that was the point I wanted to make to those who kept calling him a Canadian who had no business involving himself in US politics - that he *is* an American citizen and voter.

I wouldn't trade places with him for anything, so I didn't want to join the rock-throwers. I just disagree with his position, and I'm sure he's desparate for anything that will help him and others in his situation.

How is this a response to Fox? They are discussing Amendment 2. Fox was discussing Talent and Federal fetal stem cell legislation. Am I missing something?

Fox's ad if you look at it again starts out pushing ammendment II, the stem cell initiative here in Missouri. He then took a swipe at Talent. But it started out dealing with the ammendment II and was suggesting that if you're going to vote for ammendment II, then you ought to vote for McCaskill as the ammendment only covers those procedures and research that are legal under Federal Law.

If Fox's willingness to gamble on untested, unproven procedures by having experimental brain surgery paid off, then why is he out of control in McHassle's ad?

That was eight to ten years ago and this is now. Parkinson's is a degenerative disease. There is no cure.

Why is David S always doom and gloom, is he one of the idiotic Buchananite bitter losers?

Because I'm pissed off that the stupid Republican politicians blew a great opportunity by doing nothing except spending money on bridges to nowhere and being led by the nose by Dobson. What is one positive thing the House of Representatives did this year besides approve a 700 mile fence for a 3000 mile border that they didnt even authorize the funds to build. Oh yeah, we got our flag burning ammendments and other such symbolic crap that doesnt do more than a good speech would. No, Im not a Buchannite. I cant understand why anyone would think he is a concervative. He is just a Catholic labor loving protectionist that never met a Jew he didnt ... well I guess i dont want to go there but the man clearly has it in for the Isreali's.

This amendment does NOTHING that is not already being allowed to do.

And probably wouldnt be needed if the Republicans hadnt gone goofy over Terry Schiavo. Now it's easy to believe a bunch of pols in Jefferson City, beholden to their most conservative members, would pass any law if James Dobson told them to. By restricting Medicaid payments to any hospital using any treatment using embryonic stem cells it could effectively prevent those treatments from being used in the state.

If I eventually decide to vote against this ammendment it wont be because of any moral qualm, it will be because citizens of the state should have the balls to vote idiots out of office if they attempted to pass restrictive laws in Missouri rather than mess around with the constitution.

The frustrating part is that Talent has yet to even make some type of comment. The Michael J Fox ad is not even mentioned in Talent's campaign site.

I've noticed that as well... very disappointing.

If it makes you feel any better, Talent ran a new ad during the World Series tonight, here in St. Louis, directly taking on the Michael J Fox ad. As far as I recall it ran once. All the other ads I saw from the Talent campaign and the RNC in support of Talent all attacked McCaskill for being a lying bitch and marrying one of the people she was supposed to audit. Many more ads tonight then I have seen from Talent. He seems to finally be outspending McCaskill.

Was it an ad with Talent himself speaking about the M. J. Fox ad or was it the one with Jeff Suppan, Mike Sweeney, et al? Anyway, that's good news... I hope he continues to outspend McCaskill, and wins this election.

Fox and the departed Christopher Reeves didn't give a wit about Parkinsen's or spinal injuries or stem cells before they were afflicted with their disease or injury. I'm sick of these celebrities. I agree with you, he should shut his mouth AND go home!

It was an ad with Talent himself in a suit standing in front of a black background talking to the camera.

Last night I would say Talent was outspending McCaskill 3:1. Prior to last night during the ballgame, it has been just the opposite around here for months. Mostly hard hitting ads from McCaskill and lame Im a nice hard working guy trying to do the peoples business.

I have absolutely no problem with using embryos for stem cells, or anything else, for that matter.

I do not believe life begins at conception.

I do believe religeous nutjobs that are obseesed with this, along with terri-the-vegetable (same crowd) turn me off of the republican party more than the excess spending, or even the fence.

Wait a minute you are upset that Republicans took issue over a county judge taking power unto himself to pronounce a death sentence upon a woman based upon unprovable claims???

And then in the same instant applaud the altering of a Constitution because it suits YOUR purpose?

I don't answer to James Dobson nor do I seek his counsel, my objection to the death sentence rendered unto Terry Schiavo was because her heart was beating and continued to beat without any kind of mechanical assistance. That is until the government decided it was dehydration and starvation was her just reward.

Who has restricted Medicaid payments anywhere? It is the best health-care system we taxpayers can provide, at the same time we pay those high dollar insurance premiums for our own personal care.
