That was a great response ad. I hope they run similar ones whereever Michael J. Fox spread his manure.

Its a shame. Fox had everyones' sympathy after he announced his illness. Now he's squandered that for political points.

(Recognize the paraphrase: "After 9-11, we had the worlds' sympathy", blah, blah, blah.

It's sad that you have let your grief consume you with such evil thoughts. Many people suffer from incurable diseases, but they do not require others to die so that they may live. Life for all human forms is precious.

I believe its more like they're afraid of the press. If they'd all hand together a few times, they'd get over their fear.

Michael J. Fox should shut-up and act. And the others should shut-up and pitch, act or throw interceptions.

Don't famous people have the right to free speech the same as everyone else?

Why do you hate on people for speaking out in favor of their beliefs?

"I do believe religeous nutjobs that are obseesed with this, along with terri-the-vegetable (same crowd) turn me off of the republican party more than the excess spending, or even the fence."

Ref: religeous nutjobs. We prefer the term "Christian"

Wow... I've kinda been rooting for Detroit in the World Series (I'm actually a Red Sox fan), but I think I just became a Cardinals fan! :o)

Rooting for Detroit is the same as rooting for Al-Qaeda. Sad but true.

According to RUSH today (10-25-06) Amendment #2 support is dropping. It is below 50 and the vote "NO" is raising. Where there is life there is hope. I think the Michael J. Fox ad is backlashing for the pro-cloners. There will be a strong Vote NO on 2 ad during the baseball game tonight.

You clearly have no idea what this amendment is. Check your facts.

I suggest you do that. Someone posted the entire ammendment here on FR yesterday. YOU might try reading it before YOU spout off. Going by what a bunch of of pro life activists tells you is stupid.

Amendment 2 would provide for the legality of cloning humans, and as such would certainly make the MS legislature appropriate tax dollars to fund the research.

Semantics. You probably believe a human cell is a human clone. I dont. I dont believe human life begins at conception. A clone of a human being is a human being, not a zygote. The ammendment doesnt require spending on the part of the state, it just forbids them to pass laws to seek retribution on organizations that conduct research or offer treatments you dont like.

It's a MS constitutional amendment trying to be passed by the Dems, not conservatives. You need to understand an issue before you spout off about it.

Its being supported by more than 40% of Republicans and nearly 70% of the residents of the state and Missouri is a red state. Former Republican Senator is Chief spokesman. Republican Governor is supporting it. Talent suppported it before he got the word and flip flopped.

Who are these "others" you refer to? You act as though the ammendment was authorizing forced organ donations. The zygotes at the fertization clinics are going to be destroyed regardless. It's stupid to assume dumping them in the bio waste container is a more noble "death". To follow your logic, you must be a vegetarian. For many animals show more humanness and consciousness than a zygote. How can you bitch and moan over a few cells when you slaughter cattle and pigs? Heck I wouldnt be suprised if your veggies have as much consciousness as your zygotes.

"And probably wouldnt be needed if the Republicans hadnt gone goofy over Terry [sic] Schiavo."

I would rather crawl over broken glass to support a bunch of 'goofy' 'Republicans' when it comes to the First Conservative Rule : Preserve Life. Dobson had little to do with our opposition to starving Terri -- she was a Catholic, and that's where her supported eminated.

As for the Starvation Nation, they had the Democratic Socialists of American caucus standing with them front and center.

Okay I got a reply back from Ian. This is exactly what he said. Apparently, Mr Caviezel's gaelic leaves something to be desired. LOLL BTW, the bold is my addition and this would go with what he was trying to get across - dont' be fooled by the "actor".

Lol, if he's trying to talk in Irish Gaelic he's making a dog dinner of it. I can tell you what he said (don't be fooled-don't be taken in)

"Its being supported by more than 40% of Republicans and nearly 70% of the residents of the state and Missouri is a red state."

Hey Davey, that was yesterday.

Jefferson City, MO (LifeNews.com) -- A new poll shows that support for Amendment 2, the Missouri measure that would have the state support human cloning and embryonic stem cell research, is dropping fast. The level of support has dropped from more than a 2-1 margin to less than 10 percent.

According to a new Survey USA poll released Tuesday, just 45 percent of Missouri voters say they plan to vote for Amendment 2 while 36 percent will vote against it and another 18 percent are undecided.

That's a huge difference from the last survey the polling firm did just two weeks ago.

On October 12, Survey USA had Amendment 2 ahead by a 57-27 percent margin with 16 percent undecided.

Life is precious, but only human life is human life. It is from the right of existence that all freedoms hail. Never is it noble to destroy innocent human life in "fertility clinics" or elsewhere.

As for the rest of your rant, well sir, you don't know me, and I don't know you. But your numerous posts on this subject convey a rage that can deaden one's soul. If you weren't advocating the use of human beings as guinea pigs, I'd feel sorry for you.

What you need is someone with Parkinson's who opposes ESC research.

That was John Paul II.

I should have thought of that!
Even if I'm not a Catholic!!

Hmmm...maybe I need to get out there and push for accelerated ADULT
stem cell work...for my middle-aged memory!

While I believe they have a right to Free Speech, I would prefer that the likes Michael J. Fox, the Dixie Chicks and Kurt Warner stay out of politics.
