How cool is this?
He is much more important than unviable tissue mass.
< /sarcasm >
GOOD-Rush went on at length about this today so either somebody listened to him or they got their heads out of their a$$es in MO.
Wow. Jim Caviezel, huh? This should be interesting.
Finally a response to Michael J Fox.
WOW...great ad response....EVerybody Loves Raymond star was great!
please let this be a Wellstone funeral moment for the d's....
If we win Allen and Talent...then their grimy mitts will be OFF the Senate for at least two more years.
Just watched the video.
Featured are Jim Caviezel, Jeff Suppan, Kurt Warner, Patricia Heaton and Mike Sweeney
It's cool big time
Kurt Warner, Patricia Keaton, James Caveisal.....
This is AWESOME!!
And Rob -- thanks for posting it again -- I missed it the first time and wouldn't have seen it if it hadn't been for your repost!
You know who I always thought the Republicans should get to do some adds for them- Angie Harmon. She's fantastic, beautiful, smart and a conservative.
There is more at the link
Doesnt Amendment 2 involve stem cell research? Yes, but it involves a lot more. Instead of focusing on morally acceptable and effective research with adult stem cells, the amendment pushes Missouri into embryonic stem cell research and human cloning.
What is morally wrong with embryonic stem cell research? As the term implies, it entails experimentation on human embryos human life at the earliest stage of development. These experiments destroy human embryos for research purposes.
Does Amendment 2 pose harm to anyone besides human embryos? Yes. The proposal would allow the cloning industry to pay women who donate their eggs for research. In order to harvest the eggs, researchers would have women undergo invasive surgical procedures that are not risk free and can lead to serious health complications.
Isnt stem cell research curing many dreaded diseases? The cures you are hearing about are coming from adult stem cell research research that is underway now in Missouri and does not require the passage of a constitutional amendment or the harvesting of eggs from women. In contrast, the embryonic stem cell research promoted by this constitutional amendment has yet to lead to a single cure for any human disease.
Does Amendment 2 ban human cloning? No. The 100 word ballot summary voters will see upon entering the voting booth states that the proposal bans human cloning, but this is false. The ballot summary is relying upon a scientifically inaccurate definition of human cloning found in the full text of the proposal, which voters will not see when entering the voting booth. If voters could read the full text, they would know that human cloning is being authorized in the form of somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT).
Does Amendment 2 include a tax increase? Although the proposed amendment does not call for a tax increase, it authorizes the use of your tax dollars to subsidize human cloning and embryonic stem cell research. This could lead to budget cuts to other programs like health coverage for the poor or alternatives to abortion.
Why havent I heard these facts before? The cloning industry, funded primarily by principals of the Stowers Institute for Medical Research in Kansas City, has spent over $16 million dollars on a lavish media campaign and plan to spend millions more. There is no legal requirement that these ads tell the truth. Cloning backers are misleading voters and seeking to buy the election so they can access tax dollars for their research.
Your tax dollars and the cloning amendment:
Who would receive the cloning money provided by taxpayers under Amendment 2? State cloning grants could be provided to private research institutions like the Stowers Institute in Kansas City and Washington University in St. Louis as well as public institutions like the University of Missouri.
Without a tax increase, how could tax money be used for human cloning? Passage of this constitutional amendment would send a message to the state legislature that embryonic stem cell research and human cloning are top priorities for voters. State lawmakers would have a mandate to appropriate money out of state general revenue to fund these activities
The Fox ad seemed to be a McCaskill ad for Senate, this one appears to be an ad against the Amendment 2. What does the Senate race (a national position) have to do with the amendment? Why did Fox attack a Senate candidate who has only one vote on this amendment like any other MO citizen.
Fox made ads against other republicans in at least 2 other States
Bump for later.
The frustrating part is that Talent has yet to even make some type of comment. The Michael J Fox ad is not even mentioned in Talent's campaign site.
Holy cow. What happened to Alex P. Keaton of Family Ties? He was a republican in that and the old man was the whinney liberal. He must have switched roles.
I'll trade you my Suppan for your Fox.
What an incredible duo ... Carviezel will appeal to the conervative Christians and Suppan to all Card fans, just can't lose !!
Could it be the GOP has gotten smart ???? REALLY smart ??
Alex Keaton was just a character played by Fox. In real life, Fox is a Canadian liberal.
Yes I know. I was being a bit sarcastic. Forgot the tag.
And bill clinton felt your pain when on TV.
Sheesh Michael J. Fox is an actor, just like billy j clinton.
Wow. That is quite a cavalcade of stars in that ad.
>>>Michael J. Fox should shut-up and act.
And the others should shut-up and pitch, act or throw interceptions.<<<
You make a good point.
On further thought, however, it seems the left has a stable of celebrities ready and poised to shill for leftist causes---Babs, Baldwin, Woody Harrelson, Whoopi, Franken, Dixie Chicks, The Boss, and now Michael J. Fox, ad infinitum.
I rarely, if ever, see celebs on the other side.
Now a short video involving some ball-players and actors addressing embryonic stem cell research (which destroys a baby) done tastefully comes at an important juncture in this election cycle...
I like it.
Excellent...way to respond!!!
Will the trend continue? Will they enjoy the rush (no pun intended) experienced when one has the courage of his/her convictions?
First of all the ad ran only in Missouri, not nationally. What does the senate race have to do with the ammendment? Talent is on one side of the issue (after flipflopping) and McCaskill is on the other.
I would imagine Fox is supporting McCaskill because he wants people like McCaskill and Hardin who he also did an ad for to make it to the senate so they will support stem cell research nationally.
We apparently have not met:)
In the first 2 seconds of the ad Jim Caviezel says what sounds like "La bora nash bin a shak." I assume that's Aramaic for something??
For the past year, Claire McCaskill has accused Talent of raising gas prices to make oil companies rich, killing terminally ill people, cutting military aid to our troops in Iraqi, and of course letting blacks die in Katrina.
Talent has let slander go by unchallenged. That is why the Senate race is so close. Talent wants to be "Mr. Nice Guy". While Claire McCaskill wants to be the "Wicked Witch of the Midwest".
Take it door to door and pass them out at church, commuter stations, etc.
bump for publicity
Get ready for the Nasty You want People to Die responses....The email was just sent out from two Left wing bloggs....Can't name them as that might give it away...you'll see..They are flipping out right now
Talent is running a lousy campaign from my perspective. His ads suck talking about how he's non partisan and works with Finestein, Dodd, etc. Then last night they ran the hard hitting ad from the RNC calling McCaskill a liar back to back with his Im a non partisan working for the people crap. Looked bad.
I live in Jim's old congressional district in West St. Louis County. I live a few miles from where he attends Church and I have yet to see a Talent yard sign although I see the witch McCaskill signs all over.
Mark Levin is discussing Michael J. Fox's positions/contributions now on WABC or WMAL radio.
