He was a traitor in that he met with our sworn enemies (Representatives from the Governments of North Vietnam and Viet Cong in Paris.
And he was a Trader in that he traded on our good name and reputation when he intentionally lied and misled Congress and the country about our character, reputation and conduct, in order to gain national recognition for himself when he had decided to run for National Office and having been beaten once by Fr. Drinan, he needed something to propel him into the spotlight.
He succeeded on both counts and "we" won't EVER forget.
