story said 3 were coerced..
U.S. District Court Judge Kathleen Cardone in El Paso, Texas, sentenced Jose Alonso Compean to 12 years in prison and Ignacio Ramos to 11 years and one day despite a plea by their attorney for a new trial after three jurors said they were coerced into voting guilty in the case.

Where was the trial held? I missed most of the information on this - I can't believe the jury voted to convict!

Uhhh, maybe you should read up on the case some more. They didn't kill the guy and they did not know he had been hit cause he ran back across the border, only to be pardoned as a drug smuggler in order to testify against the BP agents.

Fair enough. Talk of pardons is silly at this point.

Be realistic, this is a Nov. 8th action.

Some border agents will quit over this, IMO.

It pains me that although I wrote both of my Senators on this issue I don't see their names listed. I hope they at least discussed the issue with their fellow congressmen.

You know, if the Republican house candidates spent the last two weeks before the election hitting the Dems over and over again about their refusal to do anything worthwhile over illegal immigration, I think they wouldn't have to worry about a thing,

Now the Republican Senators? Eh, not so much. If DiFi's Republican challenger here in California starting playing some of her pro-illegal statements in his ads, she might have to start running an actual campaign. She, Boxer and Pelosi are completely out of touch about the way Californians feel about illegals.

Did you read the article at all?
Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean attempted to apprehend a Mexican drug smuggler who brought 743 pounds of marijuana across the U.S. border last year," wrote the congressmen. "The two agents were prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney's Office and the smuggler was granted full immunity to testify against the agents. Both men were convicted by a Texas jury for firing shots at the fleeing smuggler, who, they believed, carried a gun."
DRUG SMUGGLERS caught in the act.... and the BP gets the shaft. And the Liberals Whine about Poor Illegals. Just Smuggling Drugs that the Americans won't smuggle eh?

Several, relying solely on WND is not smart.

.... and the BP gets the shaft.

Rightfully, they were convicted of several felonies.
