MoveOn.org Action Forum FAQ ==> MoveOn.org knew about the hate speech on its Action Forum
MoveOn.org Action Forum Frequently Asked Questions ^ | 10/28/06 | Bill Levinson

How can I make sure someone at MoveOn reads my post ? All comments are read at least twice. While there is no single criteria, comments that suggest a possible MoveOn action and are not duplicative are likely to be immediately passed on, or included in a summary to the whole MoveOn team. Ratings, while important, are not definitive and some comments with few or low ratings are included in the summaries. Important issues are sometimes followed up with a survey to a sampling of the membership.

...Just what does your moderator do? Our moderators are better described as monitors. They spend the vast majority of their time looking for comments to pass on to the MoveOn team and doing weekly forum summaries. With regard to moderating, their goal is to help create a space to facilitate input. It is not their goal to remove every comment that might be inappropriate. The first line of moderators are our members, who rate inappropriate comments low.

MoveOn.org has just sold us all the shovels we need to BURY it. Eli Pariser's press release of September 2 claims that MoveOn.org did not know about the racist, anti-Semitic, and anti-Catholic hate speech (and 9/11 denial) that had been posted all over MoveOn.org's Action Forum, and it tried to blame the hate speech on shadowy conservative operators. (At least he didn't say Freepers.)

The left-leaning Anti-Defamation League whitewashed MoveOn.org by accepting its excuses. During the past few days, the Jewish Funds for Justice (a leftist group) and the National Jewish Democratic Committee (http://njdc.typepad.com/njdcs_blog/2006/10/njdc_reacts_to_.html) have stepped forward to accuse the Republican Jewish Coalition of "Swiftboating" MoveOn.org. This is despite evidence that MoveOn.org's moderators were exercising editorial control over the forum and that they saw the hate speech.

The above is an incredible piece of luck and I encourage everyone to copy and maybe even save this Web page (http://www.actionforum.com/general/faq.html#1) as evidence before MoveOn.org takes it down. It is an OPEN ADMISSION THAT MOVEON'S MODERATORS READ EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF HATE SPEECH TWICE AND THAT MOVEON'S PRESS RELEASE WAS A COMPLETE LIE.

Anyone who wants to see MoveOn's candidates defeated on November 7, including Casey, Lamont, Nelson, and maybe even Murtha who is consorting with them, please BACK THE ATTACK and help me put MoveOn.org in its GRAVE!

Please blog this as widely and as quickly as possible. This will humiliate not only MoveOn.org but also every single candidate that MoveOn is backing in the election.

Reading your posting history, you seem to have a thing about moveon.org.

I think I'll wait for someone to translate some of this.

Google on "MoveOn.org" and "anti-Semitism" or even "racism."

(1) MoveOn.org allowed its Action Forum to be used as a platform for racist, anti-Semitic, and anti-Catholic hate speech.

(2) The following op-eds and others brought this to public attention in August and September.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/op-ed/20060828-101134-7666r.htm
http://www.spectator.org/dsp_article.asp?art_id=10320
http://www.theeveningbulletin.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=17179435&BRD=2737&PAG=461&dept_id=574088&rfi=6

(3) MoveOn.org, which is backing seven or eight left-wing Democrats plus Bob Casey (who claims to be a moderate), claims that the hate speech came to its attention only in mid-August. The Casey campaign, as well as the left-leaning Anti-Defamation League, National Jewish Democratic Council, and Jewish Funds for Justice, have swallowed this excuse whole.

(4) I just posted proof that MoveOn.org read each piece of hate speech twice, thus proving that MoveOn lied in its press release. I assumed that the Free Republic community would like to use this to help demolish the credibility of an extreme left-wing group that is part of George Soros' entourage (no friends of Free Republic either).
