Of course if the Dems were to fall short on election day I'm sure a DNC talking point would be how it'll help them in 2008.

Sidney Blumenthal: If the Dems can't win control of the House this year, they need to get into another business.

Here are last weeks winners, posted by Eeevil Conservative:
#3: YaYa123 -Dang! You came right out of the shoot- good and strong. TREMENDOUS showing this week. You just kept cranking out great post after great post! WAY TO GO! One of the BEST was Post #158
You got it right, OldFriend! Republicans haven't been obstructionist dividers for the last 6 years. Bush sure hasn't been. (much to our consternation, he should be dizzy by now, for turning the other cheek so often! )
The MSM pushing the lie that voting for democrats will rid the nation of dis-unity is wishful thinking foolishness. The democrats have made argumentative monkeys out of themselves. No matter what Bush has done, democrats have attacked him, and not just politically. Mean, vicious, personal attacks about his intellect, his ethics, his motives. And for the most part senate republicans haven't returned fire, nor even defended Bush. It's laughable for the MSM to now push the notion that democrats in control will fix what ails us. Perverted logic if you ask me.
#2: kabar-You have fast become one of my favorites. This week you slammed out some more GREAT STUFF! My favorite was post #336
It is also worth noting that to date, 5,582 Iraqi military and police personnel have died defending their country, i.e., about twice as many as American military personnel. Iraqis are fighting and dying for their country and also deserve our support and recognition of their sacrifice.
#1: rodguy911-Well- you blew away evryone with your post #140 that had a link to this beautiful statement..
"Sacrificing my free time is nothing compared to the sacrifices made by the patients I provide comfort to," he said. "Military service is about sacrifice. If you take out the sacrifice, it's just a job. That's what gives it its honor."
You had many other great posts, but this one was the most important. Thank you!
To: mainepatsfan
Maybe that's why Kirin is pushing it....so that after the election, they can talk about how despite their loss, the democrats are really in a winning position.

I cannot listen to Biden, he is either flippant and sarcastic, or he is just off the wall with his comments. He never behaves in a mature, adult manner, and he certainly does not even have a modicum of discipline.

If the Dems do fall short I wonder who they'll trot out on the morning shows the following day to explain what went wrong.
To: Miss Marple
The Dems are the ones who always seem to find "victory" in a loss. Hopefully, the Reps will not fall into that kind of mindset if we lose control of the House or Senate. As Vince Lombardi said, "Winning isnt everything its the only thing."

MadIvan posted that story on the birthday party fiasco, and mewzilla had a link to a charity rating website that listed a lot of problems with the foundation. Mewzilla, do you still have that link?
