Boortz: JOHN KERRY'S OPINION ON MILITARY SERVICE

JOHN KERRY'S OPINION ON MILITARY SERVICE

The Poodle recently told a group of college students the following: "You know, education...if you make the most of it...you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well...if you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."

Well isn't that just so very special! Now we know what The Poodle things about all of your sons, daughters, fathers, brothers and sisters who are "stuck in Iraq."! They just couldn't cut it in school. They weren't smart enough. Now they have found themselves stuck in the military and in Iraq.

If this is the way John Kerry feels about the military, why doesn't he just throw away all those medals he has? Oh, wait. I forgot. Been there, done that.

The Poodle has about summed up his opinion on military service in that statement. In the coming days, he will do everything he can to backpedal. He'll tell us that's not what he meant...that he was really saying this or that. But the fact is, he said it. What about those who join the military so they can get money for college? It is an insult for somebody like John Kerry to sit in his cushy office and talk down to those who are risking their lives in Iraq.

The truth here is that this isn't just John Kerry speaking. This is pretty much the way many Democrats ...especially Hillary Clinton ... feel. Disdain for the military and for those who serve runs deep in the Democrat mind.

Oh, and John Kerry voted for the war that sent those troops to Iraq. But he's had amnesia about that for several years now. And I'm sure the 150,000 troops we have in Iraq are pleased to know that John Kerry thinks they are stuck there because they couldn't cut it in college.

To think that pathetic excuse for a human being was so close to being president is terrifying.

In many cases the truth is the reverse. These scardy cats couldn't cut it in the military, so they hide out in college.

There are a lot of candidates the Dims have trotted out in recent years that fit your description......the real question is how much longer can we continue to dodge these bullets?

All the more reason that Republicans need to make sure that every absentee military vote counts!!!!!!!

You know, if some whacked out veteran were to respond physically to this insult, no liberal judge would ever convict him/her.

Amen to that! Any day I feel down about politics, I think of Kerry and Algore. We dodged bullets in '00 and '04. How soon we forget!

The Democrats can't speak what they truly believe....they would never get elected....even from the "Jerry Springer" crowd....even they would see the terror....

The MSM will cover this up....and the masses will never know about it...remember if you control the press..you control the masses...the un educated

Why do Mr. Kerry and his ilk always rebuke our men and women in uniform?

Even if it were true that the soldiers, seamen and airmen are dolts, which they are not, why rebuke them? They signed up voluntarily.

Shae on Mr. Kerry.

No surprise here. But it will make a great sound byte...

Clinton wrote that he "Loathed the Military" to an ROTC Instructor many moons ago. I bet someone here has a link.

I guess the response could be:

"Hey Kerry, YOU went to college and YOU ended up in Viet Nam."

"What exactly is your point?"

The old adage holds true: "Conservatives run to DO something while liberals run toBE something."

Good point! Sort of like that (other) old saying:

Conservatives want freedom from something;
Liberals want freedom to something.

As long as there's still a God.

John Kerry was scheduled to appear at the Catholic National Cathedral outside Washington as part of his campaign.

Before the day Kerry was to show up, a top Kerry's staffer made a visit to the Cardinal and said to him, "We've been getting a lot of bad publicity among Catholics because of Kerry's position on abortion and the like. We'd gladly make a contribution to the church of $1,000,000 if during your sermon you'd say John Kerry is a saint."

The Cardinal thinks it over for a few moments and finally (painfully) says, "The Church is in desperate need of funds and I will agree to do it."

Kerry smugly shows up looking especially confident that day and, as the Mass progresses, the Cardinal begins his homily.

"John Kerry is petty, a self absorbed hypocrite and a nitwit. He is a liar, a cheat, and the lowest kind of snake ever to be inflicted on the American people. He wrote a book and portrayed himself in the best light even though he was a traitor to his fellow vets and his country.

He has lied about his military record and had the gall to put himself several medals. He married for money and is using it to repeatedly lie in order to get elected.

He is the worst example of a Catholic I've ever personally known. But compared to Ted Kennedy, John Kerry is a saint."
