As did I, at MSG. It was an astonishingly good show.

I saw The Who in 2002 in Columbus, Ohio a few weeks after Entwistle was found dead in a Vegas Hotel. It was a great show. Perhaps the best rock concert because of their energy exhibited and the song list consisted of rock anthem after rock anthem. Robert Plant opened the show.

This year's tour prices are out of control but you may be able to get prices below face value if it doesn't sell out.

I do recall he was quite open. At that time I was involved in other things and didn't follow the story. Thanks again for setting me straight!

Thanks for posting that update on the charges against Tonwsend. I -- and apparently many others -- were not aware of his being cleared.

Are you referring to the "gypsy" character from Tommy?

Hmm, I never heard that Hoffman thing. But, in all fairness, After that tidbit you now have to relay the story to us born after 1970.

Unfortunately, the guy's also a pedophile.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on this, but I wouldn't leave him alone with children just to be on the safe side.

No, it was a line from "Getting Mobile" on Who's Next.

Me too, I like 'Empty Glass' best of all. The 'Iron Man', well not so much.

I could relate to his songs when I was 15, and I still can now that I am 38. The fact they still can make decent music is semi-astounding.

If you've ever sampled any of Entwistle's solo work you're in for an unexpected (and bizarre) treat as well.

Two under-appreciated songs: "Dig" (from Townshend's "Iron Man") and Daltrey's "After the Fire."

Hoffman tried to grab the microphone from Daltrey during the Who's performance at Woodstock and Pete hit Abbie with his guitar and kicked him off the stage, to the cheers of the crowd.

I really wished I could have seen the White City tour with Pete and David Gilmour.

Talk about a "We're Not Worthy!" moment.

Pete Townsend sat through my band's set at the Troubadour in 1975. Him and Entwhistle. When it was over, he pounded me on the back and said, "Good show, wot?"

I can go back to liking Pete again. :-)

I saw them in late 2001 or early 2002, I don't remember, in Atlanta. Pete noticed a bunch of people with fingers stuck in their ears in the first few rows. He abruptly stopped in mid-song (actually mid intro), leaned into the mic, and said, "That ain't f*ckin' loud."

The whole audience absolutely erupted in laughter.
