Posted on 10/31/2006 2:53:44 PM PST by kristinn
Doctor Raoul asked me to post this. Please join him this Wednesday, November 1 from 4 p.m. until in to the evening outside the Public House at 1801 Arch St. in downtown Philadelphia for a freep of John Kerry. If we have to explain why, you haven't been paying attention today :-)
Kerry will be doing a 'Happy Hour' fundraiser for Bob Casey.
Thanks to hoosiermama for the tip.
As always, all participants are expected to abide by some simples rules: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
YAY!! DC Chapter ROCKS! PA FReepers ... Yoo Hoo ! This will be awesome.
Wish I could be there!
This is just cruel.
I like it.
It's only funny until someone goes home crying.
Then it gets even funnier.
Think you could get John to cry?
Would give anything to be there. THANK YOU for all you do in Freepers name. Maybe some day.
great news for Santorum.
keep up the good work Kerry.
Could ya call in the Marines for this one?
Kerry Track Sector PING!!!
I have an appointment tomorrow .. but I'll see what I can pull off
This is what John Kerry thinks of our troops in Iraq. Taking in consideration the things he said about soldiers in Vietnam thirty-five years ago, many of us have long suspected this was the way he really feels about those who volunteer to serve this nation. It's ironic that this scurrilous insult to the intelligence of our men and women fighting terrorism in Iraq should come to light on Halloween, because this is the day when people disguise themselves and put on a mask. Last night, the opposite happened -- John Kerry removed his mask, and revealed who he really is.
John Kerry will try to spin this into something it's not. This statement is UNSPINNABLE. It's not an political attack on the President or the Secretary of Defense or the Secretary of State or the Republicans in Congress. There is only one group of people he's referring to -- our men and women serving this country. He's saying by inference that if you don't study hard and do your homework and don't make an effort to be smart,, you might be forced into volunteering for the military! Does THAT sound like someone who, quote unquote, "supports the troops?" It sounds to me like someone who INSULTS the troops!
And to think this man wants to be Commander-in-Chief! He has said many unkind things about our President's service, and about the deferments of the Vice President (who is a former Secretary of Defense). But we have free speech in America. Sen. Kerry is entitled, if he thinks it's politically expedient, to make remarks that denigrate the service of those who served in the National Guard during the Vietnam war, although, strangely enough, the
40th42nd President -- a Democrat like Kerry -- didn't serve in the military in any capacity during the Vietnam war. I don't EVER remember that President being slammed by John Kerry. But George W. Bush has NEVER said ANYTHING that minimizes the service of veterans or suggests that he believes people risking their lives to defend this nation aren't, to use Sen. Kerry's word, "smart."
To all Democratic candidates running for office across our country, especially those that are veterans: I invite YOU to voice YOUR opinion about what the man YOU nominated in 2004 to be your Commander-in-Chief said yesterday. But if you wish to suggest what Sen. Kerry said wasn't what he meant, I will direct you to exactly what it is that he said in context. Once again: "You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq." Try to spin that into something that is NOT disparaging of our brave men and women living, fighting, injured, and dying in Iraq -- I invite to you to make a vain attempt. In Mr. Kerry's own words, "BRING...IT...ON!"
Try reminding "JFK" who he is married to.
Just the image of your proposal for Tony Snow warms the heart of an old vet who served with pride. Thank You.
Bump. Philadelphia Eagles UP!
Ed Muskie cried in New Hampshire when his wife was dissed. But, I knew Ed Muskie. And John Kerry is no Ed Muskie.
Teresa does it when she withholds his allowance.
I'll be there to needle Kerry and especially to connect him to Casey. What timing. Tom DeLay just said Kerry is the gift that keeps on giving.
Nail that traitor.
There in spirit. Big Time.
Excellent! Santorum announced he'll be holding a press conference there at 5:30.
I'll be there in spirit too.
I will be there in spirit!!
Texas is just TOO far from the northeast where all of the "action" is....darn!
Thank you for the great tip. This looks like a fun evening.
Your presence is requested...
Union head-goon John Morris may be dead, but Philly is full of more just like him.
Philly-area Freepers - please help out here.
Thanks in advance.
Stay safe, Doc!
Sound like on FOX news that Kerry may have cancelled his appearance tomorrow....Check it out....AWWWWW!
I just heard some woman from "The Hill" on Greta's show say that BOTH of Kerry's appearances tomorrow have been cancelled.....BWAHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
Kerry cut and run? Never, hahaha!
Freepers should still show up at the Casey fundraiser. "Where's Cut and Run Kerry?"
Because this posting and the cross-link posted elsewhere have different streets listed for the FREEP, I checked the website of The Public House for its location. Note the slight modification:
2 Logan Square
Between Arch and Cherry
Philadelphia PA 19103
Between Arch and Cherry
Philadelphia PA 19103
The hotel (where The Public House is located) is halfway around the [Logan] circle on the right at 18th Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway
I don't know how to do links but here's the web addresss for directions: http://www.publichousephilly.com/directions.cfm
Well, now, I guess the national media will just have to do a story about the fact that Kerry is no longer welcome on the democrat's campaign trail. Of course, that'll never happen.
I can't wait for the report, wish I could be there.
I only wish I could have been at Pasadena College last night.
But I called his office today and voiced my outrage!
Kerry and his 'Rat brethren gave this one to us. We should run all the way with it.
All that said - PA Freepers stay safe out there, and watch out for Rendell's goons.
I can read the history books now: Senator from Massachusetts, Senator John "Cut and Run" Kerry....LOL
BTW...I think in his speech today, he pretty much called President Bush out...and said he is going to be "a MAN"..didn't he???
What kinda man goes and runs and hides from the media and the constituents???
yeah...isn't Kerry always bragging about "telling the truth to Power"???
I think the POWER smacked him.
So tomorrow's attendance factor has hit the wall of mootness?
Smoke his sorry butt.
So Kerry cut and ran. Of course he did. Well, that's another thing Casey will have to answer for tomorrow.
No..I don't think so...from what I have been reading the ones that were planning on freeping these events still want to...
It is a good thing...make the candidates that Kerry was supposed to be "helping" answer FOR John...make them say if they agree with him or not...after all, Kerry WOULD be the POTUS right now, if THEY had their way...he should HAVE to stand up and take the heat...
But, unlike the REAL men, like Bush and Cheney and Rummy....Kerry cancels out...what a wimp.
Like a child caught doing wrong, he hides out instead of facing the consequences of his own actions.
Kudos to our Philly Freepers for organizing this!
Careful of union goons masquerading as Freep sympathizers who then start trouble.
FReep 'em good Doc and stay safe!
Red, wanna have some fun? LOL!
