"Nothing short of resignation will do."
I would like to see a movement started among ALL veterans.
Any time any veteran is in spitting distance Kerry, they have a moral obligation to spit on the SOB. What's he going to do, sue you?
We'll hound him out of office and America will be a better place, even for most of the Dems.

You have an amazing son! WowThank you! I'm grinning from ear to ear with your post--my son says to tell you he thinks your post is nice. :)
That was my smiley, but he just did this:

Melanie is a little easier on the eyes than Sheehan Geez, casbah, talk about a Kerry-ism! We demand a non-apology apology for that, or it's 30 minutes in a locked room with the She-hag herself!

She's right - the apology was insulting. We were too stupid to "get" what he was really saying? It's an outrage.
Rather then apologizing for the hurtful words he used, he instead says he regrets that his words were misinterpreted? [Source: Kerry statement, I sincerely regret that my words were misinterpreted
So apparently it is the fault of the American public, news media and the men and women of the United States Military for not being smart enough to understand what Senator Kerry meant to say?

I am so thankful there are those who are educated enough to break a sentence down.
Thank you Melanie Morgan for stating the true meaning of this worthless pretend apology by Kerry.

Yeah, a great radio personality voice without a typical "radio personality face"
Humm, do I need to issue an apology to radio personalities now? Can I say it was a botched joke?

Kerry's back-stab of Vietnam soldiers years ago shows he has no honor.
This latest incident shows he has no freakin' clue as well.

LOL.....I'm so tech challenged I wouldn't begin to know how to add those smiles and frowns that people add! LOL......hard to teach an old lady new tricks.
It's truly rare today that children of any age actually think through what is happening around them. He will have a head start on his schoolmates, being so clued in to the reality behind the words.

What a real apology looks like:
"I offer a complete and utter retraction. The imputation was totally without basis in fact and was in no way fair comment and was motivated purely by malice, and I deeply regret any distress that my comments may have caused you or your family, and I hereby undertake not to repeat any such slander at any time in the future."

So we now see how John Kerry really is...
When its time to express fained moral outrage to save his political ass, his words deserve a public press conference in front of cameras.
However, when the US military is insulted and rightfully offended, they deserve only a halfhearted, qualified "apology" issued on his web site.
Does the message need further reinforcement, John? Could you insult the US military any more clearly, and apologize with any less sincerity?
No, I think this takes the cake.

Perhaps we all misinterpreted what he said in his press conference? Personally, I lack the nuance required to understand most of what he says.
